Gold Star for Sayde – A Journey of Strength

When Sayde first came to Advance Rehab Centre in January 2025, she had recently undergone major spinal surgery and faced significant challenges. With reduced strength and low exercise tolerance, even walking was difficult — and Sayde was relying on a wheelchair to get around.

But she arrived at ARC with determination and some powerful goals: to walk independently at home using her frame, manage her transfers on her own, and get back to doing what she loves — cooking and baking.

In just a few short months, Sayde has amazed us all.

She’s doubled her walking speed, regained her confidence, and even achieved walking independently at home without any aid — a huge milestone! And yes, she’s already back to baking, much to the delight of our team (her delicious homemade treats are definitely a bonus!).

Sayde is not done yet. With new goals in sight — tackling stairs, walking outdoors, and saying goodbye to the wheelchair — we’re so excited to support her every step of the way.
