We are thrilled to celebrate Georgia with this month’s Gold Star!

Georgia was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2023 and came to ARC for her initial assessment soon after. Since then, she’s faced a number of challenges, including weakness, changes in her walking, altered balance, and significant fatigue. But through it all, Georgia’s journey has been defined by her incredible resilience, positivity, and determination.

Recently, Georgia achieved a huge milestone — confidently playing pickleball with her friends! She’s shown amazing strength, agility, and perseverance on the court, lunging low for the ball, sidestepping with skill, and embracing the challenge of learning a brand-new game.

Beyond the pickleball court, Georgia has made fantastic progress in her everyday mobility. She’s moving more confidently around her community, tackling school functions and large flights of stairs with greater ease and independence.

Georgia’s success is a true reflection of her hard work — she has been consistently committed to her home exercise program, regular NeuroGym classes, and ongoing Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology sessions. Her unwavering effort has inspired her whole therapy team, who are so proud to see her pushing forward and reaching new heights.
