Congratulations to our Gold Star Award Winner Jane

This month, we are celebrating Jane’s incredible achievement—standing to create an artwork alongside a fellow artist!

Jane has been working tirelessly with her physiotherapists at Advance Rehab Centre since 2022, making remarkable progress in her mobility. When she first joined ARC, she was unable to walk. Through dedication, persistence, and a tailored rehabilitation plan, she has worked her way up to walking every day with a frame. Her journey includes regular physiotherapy sessions, community-based therapy, and participation in exercise physiology, all complemented by a structured home exercise program.

As a passionate artist, Jane had a personal goal—to stand for 10 minutes so she could actively contribute to the creative process. Thanks to her improved standing tolerance and balance, she achieved this milestone earlier this month! With the support of her physiotherapist at We Are Us studios, Jane was able to stand while her fellow artist traced her outline onto the wall. This moment was not just about art; it was a testament to her resilience, strength, and determination.

Jane’s journey doesn’t stop here! Her future goals include engaging in more standing-based art activities and returning to yoga—and we have no doubt she’ll achieve them.
