Gold Star Award for Asha
Congratulations to our Gold Star Award Winner Asha
Asha first came to Advance Rehab Centre in June 2024 following a recent total knee replacement. After years of enduring severe pain that limited her mobility, she was determined to regain her independence. Asha’s journey hasn’t been easy—she has overcome extensive medical challenges, including years of oncology treatments that resulted in nerve damage, impacting the strength in her right leg.
Motivated by her love for her two young children, William and Georgina, Asha set clear goals and committed herself fully to her recovery. Since then, she’s been putting in hard work, attending therapy at ARC twice a week, and diligently completing her exercises at home. Her determination and resilience have been truly inspiring to witness.

Thanks to her dedication, Asha has achieved significant milestones in her recovery. She’s improved her 10-meter walk time from 25 seconds to 15 seconds, boosted her confidence walking with sticks, and is now able to attend social dinners, care for her children, and independently handle tasks in the kitchen, like baking delicious sourdough bread (which we’ve been lucky enough to taste!).
Congratulations on your incredible progress, Asha! We’re so proud of your hard work and look forward to celebrating more milestones as you continue your rehabilitation journey.
