Gold Star Award for Lenny
Congratulations to our Gold Star Award Winner Lenny
Lenny was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) in 2021, she faced significant challenges—reduced mobility, weakness, tremors, and loss of sensation in her upper and lower limbs.
Since starting with the team at Advance Rehab Centre in 2023, Lenny has worked tirelessly in both physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Her hardwork has led to great progress. Once hindered by weakness and poor balance, she has regained strength and dexterity in her shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers. Tasks that once seemed impossible—like hanging clothes, picking up items, and cutting paper—are now within her reach
Lenny’s determination extended to one of her most personal goals: confidently using a knife and fork. Through consistent dedication in her OT sessions and her diligent home exercise program, Lenny has achieved this goal and can confidently use cutlery!
In physiotherapy, Lenny’s progress is equally impressive. She’s transitioned from relying on a four-wheel walker to using a walking stick at home with the support of her husband. Her strength and balance continue to improve as she cuts down the time it takes to stand up and sit down five times by half.
Awesome work, Lenny!
