Gold Star Award for Theodora

Congratulations to our Gold Star award winner Theodora

Record breaker!

Theodora has been working with our Exercise Physiologist Tom, Physiotherapist Hannah and AHA’s Cerissa and Tayla, and smashing records every week! She’s graduated from the 10-metre walking track to laps around the entire floor and is setting new records left right and centre!

Theodora (or T) has a type of Motor Neurone Disease that affects her ability to walk and reduces the strength of her legs.

From July to now she has significantly improved her walking ability, walking 11 extra metres in 6 minutes, and walking 10 metres 14 seconds quicker than she used to. She has improved her walking distance without breaks to 3 laps of Level 1, roughly 75 metres every Friday. She’s also knocked 17 seconds off her 100-metre row!
