Gold Star Award for Stephen

Congratulations to our Gold Star Award Winner Stephen

Stephen has been a PD Warrior with ARC since 2018 and has shown great commitment to his own exercise regime as well as being an amazing supporter of his fellow PD Warriors. Stephen consistently attends 3 classes per week and puts 100% into every session. He is also our resident guru for any car-related dual tasks (who knew there was a car make called “Queen”)!

Amongst his regular PD Warrior work, Stephen had been training hard for the annual Parkinson’s Marathon Walk which was held on the 30th of July.

Stephen achieved 2 amazing feats on the day:

He completed the 10km walk with family and friends
He single-handedly raised over $10 000 for the Dean Team and Parkinson’s NSW! This was by far the biggest single contributor to the total amount raised on the day which has reached over $20000.

A huge thank you to Stephen’s generous family and friends for their donations and an enormous congratulations to Stephen for hitting the double 10! 10km and 10K!

On the PD Marathon Walk Stephen had this to say: “We had a fabulous time on Sunday, surrounded by family and friends. I didn’t realise that torturing yourself could be so much fun!”
