Senior Neurological Physiotherapist
Caroline graduated as a physiotherapist in Egypt in 2004 and relocated to Australia in 2011. She has a special interest in rehabilitation of neurological and complex conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and motor neuron disease. She works solely in this field.
Caroline has worked in many different environments in Egypt and Australia including acute hospitals, rehabilitation and stroke teams and outpatients as a Senior Physiotherapist and continues to progress through her career in Australia.
Caroline works in the community team at the Advance Rehab Centre covering South West area of Sydney. She is passionate about optimising function and independence for her clients.
Caroline is a mum of two gorgeous kids. When she is not working, she enjoys her time with family and friends, oil painting, cycling and playing basketball. Caroline is also fluent in Arabic and enjoys using this language to assist in the rehabilitation of Arabic speaking clients and their families.

Senior Neurological Physiotherapist
Laurel graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours. She began her career at John Hunter Hospital, gaining a solid foundation working with a wide range of neurological conditions in both acute and rehabilitation settings. Laurel thoroughly enjoyed her neurological rotations. It was while working in the brain injury unit and the stroke rehabilitation unit she knew neurological rehabilitation was her passion. Laurel moved to Sydney to specialise in this field. She worked in inpatient rehabilitation for five years, becoming the senior physiotherapist at a private rehabilitation hospital. Laurel then moved overseas to pursue volunteer work with disabled children in Vietnam. Laurel joined the ARC team in 2017. She prides herself on helping clients maximise their function to achieve their goals. Laurel has a special interest in stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson’s Disease and more complex neurological clients. Laurel is a PD Warrior certified instructor. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, ballroom dancing and playing with her beautiful baby boy. Laurel works in the community team on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Neurological Physiotherapist
Sarah has worked at Advance Rehab Centre since early 2017 and is now in a Team Leader position taking on management responsibilities with training and supervising other members of the team.
She first qualified as a Physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 2005 and quickly developed a passion for neurological and stroke rehabilitation with varying senior roles within the NHS covering both inpatients, outpatients and community.
Sarah has a special interest in treating stroke and acquired brain injury clients. She is also PD Warrior trained clinician and has worked extensively with Parkinson's disease clients. Sarah also has a keen interest in treating clients with multiple sclerosis especially within the community setting.
Sarah is passionate about neurological rehabilitation and has been working on further development of some of our programs and the implementation of evidence based practice. She is currently working on further development of our 'Hands Up' Intensive Upper Limb Program due to her interest and skills in upper limb rehabilitation.
Sarah is also our lead for Functional Electrical Stimulation and has used this modality in both upper and lower limb rehabilitation and provides training for our team around its use.
Furthermore, Sarah delivers training and supervision to external physiotherapists across Australia as part of ARC’s Mentorship Program.
Sarah current works in the community setting and delivering therapy via telehealth.

Community Physiotherapy Team Leader and Senior Neurological Physiotherapist
Ceri completed her physiotherapy degree at King's College London in 2010. After completing her core rotations in all areas of physiotherapy she quickly realised that she had a passion for neurological physiotherapy. Ceri has continued to work as a neurological physiotherapist throughout her career in the United Kingdom and in Australia.
Prior to joining the team at ARC, Ceri worked in a hospital setting, providing acute therapy and rehabilitation to clients with a variety of neurological conditions.
Ceri leads the ARC community team and loves working with her colleagues and with her clients to help achieve their maximum potential in everyday function and independence. Ceri has a keen interest in motor neurone disease, stroke rehabilitation, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury and Parkinson’s disease. She is an MS get a head start and PD Warrior qualified instructor and thoroughly enjoys being a part of the PD Warrior program that was founded at ARC.
Furthermore, Ceri is a certified LEXO clinician, a robotic gait training device that has opened up many exciting possibilities for clients with walking goals.
As an ARC Leadership Team member, Ceri contributes to the continued development and growth of ARC and the team of clinical staff. She works in both the ARC clinic and in the community providing home based rehabilitation.
Cultural and Professional Development Manager & Neurological Physiotherapist

Melissa has worked in the field of neuro physiotherapy since early in her career. She specialised as a senior neuro physiotherapist in the UK for a number of years - working across a variety of specialities including neurosurgery, neuro medicine, stroke and both inpatient and outpatient neuro rehab. This experience has given Melissa a solid understanding of the journey people go through from receiving their initial neurological diagnosis, through to much later stages of their rehab.
Melissa went on to complete a Masters in Neurorehabilitation in London, gaining valuable analytical and research experience and completing her own research project exploring the rehabilitation services available to people with brain tumours. Melissa has a special interest in neuro-oncology, as well as stroke and a wide range of post neurosurgery and neuro medical conditions. This experience led to her being invited to review and contribute to the Cancer Council's 'Understanding Brain Tumours' information booklet in Australia in 2019.
It is her time working as a physiotherapist at ARC that motivated Melissa further to remain living in Australia! Over her time working at ARC, Melissa has become a PD Warrior certified instructor and trainer - delivering practical courses to other allied health professionals across Australia.
She loves her job for continuing to develop the ARC team as it grows. Melissa enjoys supporting the team through change and growth, ensuring the highest quality of therapy is maintained, as well as the team culture that staff and clients thrive from at ARC. Melissa can be contacted at ARC Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and welcomes feedback on the service clients are receiving.

Practice Manager
Natalie has an extensive background in management, administration, and client support. Prior to joining Advance Rehab Centre, Natalie worked for many years within the Aged Care sector in a variety of roles which have all contributed to her ability and passion to provide quality service and support to clients in need. As Practice Manager, Natalie works as an integral part of the management team and is responsible for staff management, staff development, specialty projects and facilities management. Natalie strives for service excellence across all areas of her role and takes great pride in ensuring the day-to-day smooth operation of the clinic. Natalie provides dedicated support to the administration and therapy teams to ensure that every client has a quality customer service experience. When she is not at work, Natalie enjoys catching up with friends, going on coastal walks and spending time with her family and dog.

Artarmon Clinic Manager and Neurological Physiotherapist
Anna has worked across a wide variety of areas of neurological physiotherapy within England and Australia including both public hospital and private clinic settings.
Anna joined the ARC team in 2014 and now works as the ARC Artarmon clinic manager. She has a strong background in clinical education and continues to provide mentoring to staff as well as assisting with running the service and supporting the team.
Since identifying a lack of services in NSW, Anna has worked hard to set up ARC’s functional neurological disorders (FND) service and continues to grow and develop this whilst collaborating with medical professional colleagues in this specialist area. Anna promotes awareness and support for people living with and working with FND. She has developed a course for health professionals across Australia which aims to increase the skill and confidence of clinicians working with clients with FND and ARC was awarded the HESTA Team Excellence award for its work in this area in 2021.
As the ARC Clinic Manager Anna enjoys working alongside the management team and supporting staff to ensure we continue to provide an exceptional service to clients and continue to develop our educational opportunities for professionals too.
In 2020, Anna won The Causley’s People’s Choice Award for most outstanding team member as voted by the public.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Business Manager and Occupational Therapist
Jo-Anne leads the Housing Solutions Team of 6 Occupational Therapists who support NDIS participants to explore their housing solutions and apply for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) eligibility.
Jo-Anne has a unique and broad knowledge of the supported accommodation, SDA and housing sector. She is passionate about design for function and believes that well designed accommodation, social and support models, can be life changing for people with disability. She applies and shares her knowledge nationally through webinars and most recently an online conference, Insight SDA 2020.
Through Jo-Anne, ARC is an associate member of the SDA Alliance, a peak body in the SDA sector and is at the cutting edge of the latest developments in disability accommodation.
Jo-Anne strongly promotes co-design between SDA eligible participants and SDA providers and is continuously researching new products and technologies. She is experienced in all areas of SDA design and is passionate about robust design and affordable housing solutions in metro city areas.
Jo-Anne is a proud recipient of the Anne Maree Neal Innovation Award, awarded by her ARC peers in 2019.
Business Development Manager

Lynn graduated from the University of Liverpool in the UK in 2000 and has worked in the field of both acute and community-based neurorehabilitation in both the UK and Australia. Lynn leads clinical development activities at Advance Rehab Centre and is the co-founder of the PD Warrior program.
Lynn enjoys the collaboration with the management, administration, and therapy teams to ensure ARC delivers the best service possible to clients and their families. She works hard to ensure that ARC delivers evidence-based and quality rehabilitation along with excellent customer service. Through quality projects, audit and staff training and development, she strives for service excellence and professional development of the therapy team.
In an ever-evolving health sector, Lynn believes early referral, timely and quality intervention, supported by adequate funding where possible, is key to achieving the best outcomes for people living with a neurological condition. She is passionate about achieving the best possible rehabilitation outcomes for people with neurological conditions.
Neurological Occupational Therapist
Master of Occupational Therapy, Curtin University
James qualified as an Occupational Therapist in Perth and has since worked in the community with a wide range of experience in neurological, mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Prior to working at ARC, James has worked alongside large community multi-disciplinary teams, including extensive joint treatment with speech pathologists and clinical psychologists for a variety of neurological and mental health presentations.
James brings with him a wide range of experience in rehabilitative therapies including for neurological injuries, spinal cord injuries and neuro-degenerative rehabilitation. James has a special interest and passion in upper limb rehabilitation, cognitive assessment, and rehabilitation as well as complex postural seating expertise.
James works full time with the Hurstville clinic from Monday to Friday.
Outside of work, James loves the outdoors, including hiking, camping and social sport including tennis and soccer.
Neurological Occupational Therapist

Hayley graduated from the University of Sydney after completing her honours thesis on timely diagnosis of dementia. Prior to working at ARC, she developed clinical experience across spinal injuries rehabilitation, community mental health, and workplace injury management. She has experience working with a range of neurological conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, brain injury, and spinal cord injury. She is also experienced working with clients with a variety of psychosocial presentations, including autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, and intellectual disability.
Hayley has strong clinical interests in upper limb retraining, cognitive rehabilitation, complex seating, and retraining activities of daily living. Hayley is also passionate about the intersection of mental health and neurological rehabilitation, and continues to advocate for holistic approaches to recovery.
Hayley’s Occupational Therapy practice is guided by her goal to help clients find hope, joy, and excitement in living the life that they want to live. Whether supporting clients to develop cognitive and emotional regulation strategies, retrain self-care tasks, or increase independence and confidence with living in the community through complex seating, Hayley strives to ensure that Occupational Therapy is both evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each individual.
Hayley’s time is split between our Artarmon clinic and the community.
Outside of work, Hayley enjoys catching up with friends and getting creative with new crafts such as sketching, sewing, dancing, and scrapbooking.
Neurological Physiotherapist

Originally from Devon in England, Rosie graduated from Cardiff University in Wales, UK. Rosie stayed in Wales to begin her career in physiotherapy, gaining a wide experience across acute, outpatient, community and other rehabilitation settings across a wide range of specialities and ages. Most recently, Rosie worked in an acute hospital providing specialist neurological rehabilitation to children and young adults, before relocating to Sydney.
Rosie has a particular interest in brain injury and stroke rehabilitation, and gait retraining. She enjoys working closely with her clients to achieve their goals in both individual and group settings, in a way that’s meaningful to them.
Rosie works in the Artarmon clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder HUB on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Outside of work, Rosie enjoys going to the gym and being in the outdoors. Having recently moved to Australia, she spends most of her free time exploring the local beauty. You’ll most likely find her exploring Sydney’s beaches and cafes!
Allied Health Assistant
Melanie is currently completing her Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Charles Sturt University. She brings over five years of experience working in private practice, supporting a diverse range of clients across the lifespan, from children through to older adults, with a variety of chronic health conditions.
Mel is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals, improve their confidence, and return to doing the activities they enjoy most. She values a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare and is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, safe, and engaging sessions tailored to each client’s needs. Her warm and supportive nature allows her to create a positive environment where clients feel comfortable, motivated, and empowered throughout their journey.
As an Allied Health Assistant at ARC’s Artarmon clinic, Mel works closely with the allied health team to assist in the delivery of client-centred exercise and rehabilitation programs. She also plans to further her studies by completing a Master of Dietetics, with the goal of becoming both an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Dietitian.
Outside of work, Mel enjoys cooking and creating nutritious meals for family and friends, while continuing to explore her passion for nutrition and sports science. She maintains an active lifestyle through gym training and sport and has a background in professional soccer. In her spare time, she also enjoys travelling and discovering new beaches.

Ellen gained her physiotherapy degree from University College Cork, Ireland. After which, she worked in community services for adults with disabilities where she developed her passion in working within the disability sector and advocating for clients.
Ellen then moved to New Zealand, where she worked in Auckland City Hospital, mainly working in older people’s rehab. Here she also spent time working across the acute medical and neurological rehabilitation wards and built her love for neurological rehabilitation. Ellen enjoys helping clients work towards their specific goals, by delivering client-centred rehabilitation.
In her spare time Ellen enjoys running, hiking, getting coffee with friends and spending time exploring Australia and enjoying the good weather.

Neurological Physiotherapist

Roisin has over three years of acute hospital experience working in a neurological centre in Ireland, largely working with patients post stroke, neurosurgical intervention and completing core rotations across many clinical areas including Respiratory and Aged Care.
Roisin then moved to Sydney to further her career in physiotherapy and has worked in public hospitals both in regional Victoria and NSW since she arrived. A large proportion of this time has been spent working across the acute neurological, cardiorespiratory and aged care rehabilitation wards ensuring patient centred holistic rehabilitation.
Roisin has a passion for neurological rehabilitation, which is driven by the resilience and motivation of each client she has worked with. Coming from a sporting background she always endeavours to motivate her clients to achieve their goals and centers her assessments and treatment plans around each client’s specific goals and motivations.
Roisin is based in the Movement Disorders Hub working Mondays to Wednesdays each week. In her spare time, she enjoys attending and teaching Pilates, coffees with friends, coastal walks and phone call check ins with family back home.

Robyn completed her studies in Pretoria and moved to Johannesburg. There she worked in both private and public hospitals, honing her skills in acute, subacute and outpatient care. Through all the different work experiences, she found herself drawn to rehabilitation, with a passion for neurological conditions. Her previous experience has given her a deeper understanding of the entire patient journey and is able to slot into any stage of said journey with her clients.
Robyn draws inspiration and motivation from working with her patients, getting to know them and their families better and working alongside them to achieve their goals. She enjoys a good chin wag, but loves pushing her clients to achieve their utmost potential.
Robyn will be working at Artarmon Tuesday - Friday and alternate Saturdays.
She has a special interest in stroke and spinal cord rehabilitation with emphasis on return to sport.
When Robyn is not at work, she can be found hiking or walking outdoors with her partner and 2 dogs, baking up a storm and spending quality time with her nearest and dearest.

Angela brings a unique perspective to her role as an Allied Health Assistant – one shaped by 25 years of caring for our environment – and now a deep commitment to caring for people.
After completing a degree in Ecology, Angela spent her career working across local and state government in environmental education and community engagement, most recently as a Senior Land Services Officer with Greater Sydney Local Land Services. Over those years, she designed and delivered programs that helped thousands of people develop new skills and confidence in helping to look after our environment – supporting communities through drought, change, and challenge with empathy, patience, and practical guidance.
There was a turning point that inspired her to make the switch from caring for the environment to caring for people. She completed her Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance at Castle Hill TAFE, followed by a student placement and casual work at Royal Rehab Ryde's Spinal Injury Unit, before joining the team at Advance Rehab Centre.
Angela is passionate about person-centred care and believes that every individual's recovery journey deserves to be met with respect, curiosity, and genuine support. She brings a warmth and curiosity to her work after her years working with people from all walks of life.
Angela works in the Artarmon Clinic and Hub on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Outside of work, Angela is an active member of her local bushcare group and loves snorkeling, bushwalking, and spending time with her family and dog.

Ariarna completed a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of Sydney, where she developed a strong interest in neurological rehabilitation during a university placement at a spinal cord injury clinic. This experience sparked her passion for supporting individuals with neurological conditions and shaped her commitment to delivering client-centred care. Since graduating, Ariarna has worked extensively in aged care settings, supporting clients with a range of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. She particularly enjoys working with individuals recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.
Ariarna is dedicated to helping her clients achieve meaningful, long-term improvements in their health, mobility, and overall wellbeing. She prides herself on delivering sessions that are engaging, creative, and challenging, while always tailoring her approach to suit each client’s individual goals and needs.
Ariarna works at the Hurstville clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and provides community-based services on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Nicole’s interest in neurological rehabilitation began while working in the spinal cord injury unit at Prince of Wales in 2020. She subsequently gained further experience across several specialist stroke units during her three years working in London.
Nicole is passionate about supporting clients to maximise their independence, function and quality of life through personalised, goal-driven rehabilitation programs. In addition to her degrees in Physiotherapy and Medical Science, Nicole has qualifications in mat and equipment-based Pilates. Having observed meaningful improvements in patient outcomes, Nicole is deeply passionate about integrating Pilates principles into her neurorehabilitation practice.
Nicole works in the Artarmon clinic on Tuesdays, Fridays and alternate Saturdays, and in the community on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Outside of work, Nicole is a passionate runner and cyclist. She enjoys live classical and jazz music, hiking, travelling overseas, and spending time at the beach with friends and family.

Anna graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology. Her interest in neurological rehabilitation was originally inspired by a passionate university lecturer, and developed during her clinical placement experience where she was exposed to stroke, Parkinson’s and spinal cord injury clients.
Anna has previously worked for a NDIS provider supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disability extensively. She also has experience working in an outpatient chronic pain program, assisting in hydrotherapy, resistance training and Tai-Chi. Anna values building strong rapport with her clients and is committed to delivering a personalised, goal-oriented approach to help them move forward with confidence.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys playing social netball, going for runs with friends, and catching up for a morning coffee.

Lauren is an experienced Neurological Occupational Therapist with a strong passion for upper limb rehabilitation, functional cognition, and helping people regain confidence in everyday life. She brings experience across hospital and community settings, and is a former Tyromotion Trainer for Australian therapists.
Lauren enjoys using innovative technology and evidence-based practice with practical, client-centred solutions.
Lauren works in the Hurstville Clinic on Thursdays and Fridays.
Outside of work, she enjoys a bush walk, a daily cup of tea, spending time with her dogs Frankie & Rudi and planning the next adventure.
Neurological Physiotherapist
Amber gained her degree from the University of Cumbria. Originally from Northumberland, England, she began her career working in an acute hospital, gaining experience across a wide range of areas including stroke rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic care, aged care, respiratory, and intensive care. Alongside this role, Amber also worked in a small clinic supporting people with aged-care and neurological conditions.
Inspired by her passion for helping people improve their quality of life and achieve their personal goals, Amber chose to specialise in neurorehabilitation. She enjoys working one-on-one with clients, running group sessions, and has a particular interest in hydrotherapy. Amber then worked for over four years at a neurological specialist centre in the North East of England before beginning her journey with ARC.
Outside of work, Amber loves to read, run, and spend time at the beach. She is also a qualified Pilates instructor, having enjoyed the practice as a hobby for many years.
Amber currently works between the Artarmon Clinic and the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder HUB.
Allied Health Assistant
Originally from Austria, Emma completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy and gained over 1.5 years of experience working with children in schools and early-intervention settings as a physiotherapist. Her work focused on developmental support, motor skill training, and family-centred therapy approaches.
She is passionate about functional rehabilitation, neuroplasticity, and supporting clients to achieve meaningful goals in their everyday lives.
Emma now works as an Allied Health Assistant at ARC’s Artarmon clinic, collaborating with the allied health team to deliver evidence-based, client-centered programs. She plans to pursue AHPRA registration to resume physiotherapy practice in Australia.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys swimming, yoga, Pilates, and long walks with her groodle Stevie. She also loves travelling and exploring new places along the coast.
Allied Health Assistant
Abby is currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with Honours at Australian Catholic University. She is also currently conducting an Honours thesis research project on supports for students with disability transitioning out of high school into employment.
Abby has a passion for neurological rehabilitation, which has grown through her experiences on clinical placements where she has developed her skills in a neurological rehabilitation setting. She is passionate about the role that Allied Health clinicians have in facilitating participation in daily life as clients engage in therapy programs and work towards their goals.
Abby will be at the Hurstville clinic on Wednesday and Friday.
Outside of studying and work, Abby enjoys teaching dance and has completed her Elementary Teaching Diploma with ADA. She also enjoys live music and spending time with friends and family.
Neurological Occupational Therapist
Michelle graduated with honours from Trinity College Dublin and brings a wealth of international experience to her role as an Occupational Therapist. Having worked across various healthcare systems in Ireland, New Zealand, and most recently, Australia, she has gained expertise in diverse settings, including neuroscience wards, emergency departments, aged care, rehabilitation, and community settings.
It was during her time in the neuroscience wards that Michelle’s passion for neuro-rehabilitation blossomed. She is committed to a holistic approach to care, focusing on building strong therapeutic relationships to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life through meaningful activity engagement. Michelle has a particular passion for upper limb rehabilitation, which continues to drive her clinical practice.
Currently, Michelle works at Hurstville Clinic and in the community.

In addition to her clinical work, she has developed and implemented a comprehensive student induction and training program in the UK, enhancing onboarding and professional development for OT students.
Katie’s approach is compassionate and goal-oriented, focusing on empowering individuals to regain independence and quality of life in their own homes and their local communities. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and exploring the outdoors with her twin daughters!

Kitty is currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Australian Catholic University (ACU). Her previous experiences working at hospitals and volunteering on Muscular Dystrophy Camps as a carer, have sparked her interest in neurological rehabilitation.

This broad exposure sparked Sophie’s passion for neurological rehabilitation and she commenced working in inpatient rehabilitation and day rehabilitation programs. In these roles she worked closely with individuals living with various neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Functional Neurological Disorder.

Olivia qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Brighton in England. Olivia spent several years gaining experience in a range of clinical areas, both in acute and rehabilitation settings, before deciding on specialising in neurological rehabilitation. She spent some time working as part of a multidisciplinary community stroke service in the UK, before relocating to Sydney.
Olivia has a particular interest in stroke rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation and gait retraining. She enjoys problem solving and working with clients to achieve their goals.

Jack studied physiotherapy in Ireland before moving to London where he gained invaluable experience rotating through the core areas of physiotherapy in the acute and rehabilitation settings before specialising in neuro-rehabilitation at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Trust. Here Jack developed his passion for neurology and rehabilitating clients with complex presentations, supporting them through their journey to achieve their goals.
Jack relocated to Sydney in 2024 and continues to instill his passion for rehabilitation in his clients. Jack has a special interest in post-stroke rehabilitation, SCIs, MS and Parkinson’s Disease, empowering clients to be more independent, self-manage and lead fulfilling lives.

Sophie has experience in private practice working with neurological, musculoskeletal, and geriatric clientele. This includes working with individuals with stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and Huntington’s disease.
Sophie believes in forming trust and strong connections with her clients, while creating a fun, supportive and challenging environment to work towards goals, big or small. She understands that every individual and condition is unique and loves to find creative solutions to achieve independence and improve quality of life.

Sophie has a special interest in Parkinson's disease and post-stroke rehabilitation. She is passionate about empowering individuals to be as independent and active as possible and enjoys problem solving ways around barriers to participation in hobbies and activities of daily living.

Niamh qualified with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Occupational Therapy at Trinity College Dublin in 2021. Niamh then continued her studies and graduated with a diploma in Clinical Exercise from Trinity College Dublin with her research focusing on the barriers to exercise engagement in community dwelling stroke survivors. Niamh is currently progressing her studies to complete a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise.
Since graduating Niamh has developed her clinical skills working in acute hospitals and rehabilitation settings in her home country of Ireland, working across oncology, respiratory, ICU, orthopedics, aged-care, stroke and neurology.
Niamh was always very interested in stroke, but it was during her time working across the acute stroke and in-patient neurological settings that she developed her passion for neurological rehabilitation.

After spending a year travelling the east coast of Australia, Beth made the decision to relocate to Sydney to pursue her career in this field.
Beth identified early on in her career that Neurology was the area of greatest passion for her, with a special interest in upper limb rehabilitation and functional “real-life” gains post brain injury and stroke. She believes in having a focus on a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to working to achieve client-led, individualised goals.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys an active outdoors lifestyle, exploring Australia - one coffee shop at a time - and trying her hand at new hobbies. You’ll usually find Beth with her current read in her bag in case of any unexpected down time by the beach.

Growing up on a farm in the Norfolk countryside, Kat moved to London to earn her Master of Science in Physiotherapy. During her studies, she discovered a strong passion for neurological rehabilitation, which led her directly to an acute Stroke and Neurology unit after graduation. With diverse experience across various healthcare sectors in the UK, Kat relocated to Australia in 2023, where she worked with NDIS patients in community settings.
As an elite rower competing internationally, Kat brings a unique perspective to her physiotherapy practice. Her athletic background helps her understand the challenges of hard work and recovery, allowing her to connect with patients on a deeper level. In both rowing and rehabilitation, she recognises the importance of perseverance and dedication. Kat finds that both her rowing teammates and her patients inspire her in unique ways. Hannah is passionate about neurological rehabilitation, with a particular interest in working with patients who have sustained an acquired or traumatic brain injury; helping them to achieve their goals, develop independence with activities of daily living and improve participation in community activities.
Hannah enjoys creative problem-solving whilst supporting patients work towards occupations that are meaningful to them. She works full time in our Artarmon clinic, Monday to Friday.

It was during her time in the Acute Neurology setting that she discovered her passion for neurological rehabilitation.
In addition to her acute care work, Aoife has significant experience in inpatient rehabilitation, where she has worked with individuals living with multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injuries. She is also well-versed in the adult and paediatric disability sectors, supporting individuals with cerebral palsy and autism.

Amelie thoroughly enjoys bringing light-heartedness to exercise both in classes and during individualised sessions and values supporting patients through their journey.
Along the way, she discovered her passion for neurological physiotherapy when she started to work in rural NSW, where she encountered limited access to healthcare and services for neurological conditions. This sparked a passion for enabling people with neurological conditions to feel supported, achieve their best outcomes and reach their goals whether big or small. With almost seven years of experience as an occupational therapist in both the UK and Australia, Nikki has extensive experience of offering solutions for daily living, mobility, travel, access to technology and home modifications across adult and paediatric services in the public health and private sector. Nikki is deeply committed to empowering individuals to live life to the fullest and possesses a comprehensive understanding of how occupational therapy can facilitate this in various contexts.
Nikki developed a passion for neurological rehabilitation during her role as an OT at a regional stroke unit and as an OT/driving assessor within a regional driving assessment centre. Nikki most enjoys opportunities to work dynamically and challenge her problem-solving skills. She is enthusiastic about fostering collaborative partnerships with clients and values their input in the therapy planning process. Nikki works between the Artarmon Clinic and the hub.

Merryn has experience across a variety of settings including aged care, inpatients and in the community. She has worked in NSW public hospitals, where she worked in a variety of ward settings from ICU and orthopaedics to stroke rehabilitation and also aged care in the community. Her decision to come to ARC was influenced by seeing the significant impact she could make to the function and quality of life of her patients during her time working in stroke rehabilitation and the community.
Merryn’s passion for neurological physiotherapy began whilst studying at university, where she loved learning about how the brain works and how this translates into how our bodies function. Merryn is driven to provide client-centred care by tailoring therapy that is specific to goals meaningful to the client. She loves to help clients achieve these goals and regain their independence. She has a special interest in Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and Functional Neurological Disorder.
Merryn works full time between Artarmon Clinic and the community between Monday and Friday.

After starting her career in musculoskeletal and women’s health settings, Jayne then made the transition into the space of neuro rehabilitation inspired in part by witnessing the positive impacts of physiotherapy in this population through a family member with cerebral palsy. After a close friend sustained a spinal cord injury, her passion grew for helping people with neurological conditions and this passion was strengthened through her clinical experiences.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, Jayne believes in a holistic approach to physiotherapy to empower clients to gain autonomy in their lives and attain their goals, both great and small. Although a person may have the same neurological condition, Jayne finds challenge and fulfillment in tailoring therapy and exercise programs specific to the individual. She has a special interest in Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and FND.

Acting Deputy Community Physiotherapy Team Leader and Neurological Physiotherapist
After starting her career in Ireland working in different hospital physiotherapy departments in both the acute and rehabilitation settings, Jenny moved to Sydney to pursue her career as a physiotherapist. On moving to Sydney, Jenny worked in a community role predominantly with clients with neurological conditions before joining the team at Advance Rehab Centre. Jenny developed her passion for goal and patient centred settings during her final year university placement in an intensive neuro- rehab setting in Dublin. She went on to develop a strong interest in Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and SCI’s.
Jenny believes in using physiotherapy as an aid to optimise a person’s functional independence and enhance their quality of life. Jenny has also completed certified training in Strength and Conditioning, and Pilates, and believes in using exercise as a preventative medicine as anyone ages.

Chelsea joined the ARC Housing Solutions Team in 2023 as an Occupational Therapist offering telehealth for Functional Capacity, Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation Assessments.
Neurological Physiotherapist
Alice is a UK trained physiotherapist who developed a passion for rehabilitation during her time working in the Royal Free London Trust with clients recovering from intensive illness and varying neurological conditions. She continued to explore this interest in rehabilitation working with clients in the community in her hometown of Bath, England. Alice later made the move to New Zealand working in Auckland treating clients with neurological conditions in the community and also in a clinic. She has a particular interest in working with clients with Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis. Alice is trained in the delivery of PD Warrior and enjoys utilising the principles in her practice working with the Parkinson’s Disease population.
Alice then relocated to Sydney and now works in the ARC Artarmon clinic Monday, Wednesday and Friday and in the community Tuesday and Thursday.
Alice is passionate about helping her clients increase their quality of life, achieve their personal goals and to have fun along their rehabilitation journey.
When not working, you can find Alice exploring Australia, hiking, camping, attending Pilates or socialising with friends.

Leah gained her physiotherapy degree back in her home country of Ireland and then worked predominantly in the acute hospital setting in Ireland, gaining valuable experience in respiratory physiotherapy. Since relocating to Australia, Leah has worked in a public hospital and a private rehabilitation hospital in Sydney, working with people with stroke, MS and Parkinson’s Disease. Whilst having broad experience across many areas of physiotherapy, Leah’s primary area of interest is in neurological rehabilitation.
Leah is passionate about fostering self-management within her clients, to allow them to live more independently and increase their participation in meaningful activities. Leah has also completed research in people with stroke on this topic, which was published in 2022. She strives to build strong professional relationships with her clients and provide unwavering support to help them achieve their goals. Furthermore, Leah values working within the multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic management plans for her clients, and prides herself on her commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
Leah works full time between the Artarmon clinic and the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder HUB, as well as one Saturday a month in the Artarmon clinic.
Outside of work Leah enjoys being active, exploring new locations and cultures, relaxing at the beach and catching up with friends and family.

After graduating as a Physiotherapist Kristi worked in both hospital and community settings across a broad range of medical, surgical, orthopedic and neurological areas including stroke, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy and Parkinson’s Disease. Kristi worked as a therapist at TAD, including the Freedom Wheels program where she gained pediatric experience and thoroughly enjoyed supporting children with disabilities to ride bikes for the first time (dream job!).
Kristi’s career changed direction and she has worked for the past 13 years in the community sector as a Case Manager and in leadership roles across the aged care, disability and mental health sectors supporting people to access information and services to meet their needs and goals. She has gained extensive knowledge and understanding of community services and worked with people with a variety of neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's, stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and various pediatric conditions.
Kristi now works as an Allied Health Assistant in the Artarmon clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She is exploring re-gaining her Physiotherapy registration in the future.
At home, Kristi is a Mum of 3 children and 3 gorgeous fluffy chickens. She loves bush walking, pottering in the garden, skiing, camping with the family and cooking cakes.

Cerissa has previously worked in the disability sector as a support worker and has a passion for helping people achieve their goals and striving towards becoming as independent and functional as possible within the community. She has worked in conjunction with health professionals whilst a support worker and enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team both in the clinic and the community setting.
Outside of work, Cerissa loves being active and going on day trips to explore different places and having new experiences.

Julian's passion to work in neuro rehab started within student clinical placements and whilst working as an Exercise Scientist as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the aged care setting.
Julian has a particular interest in working with clients with brain and spinal cord injuries. He truly believes that exercise is one of the best tools we have in preventing, treating, and managing complex health conditions. It is Julian's goal to empower clients and provide them with knowledge, support, and encouragement to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Julian works at ARC Tuesday to Saturday and is split between the clinic and community.
Outside of work, you'll find Julian playing basketball, spending time with family and friends, and trying out new hobbies!

Lisa completed a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales. Lisa started at ARC in 2018 and is passionate about assisting individuals in building a healthy life long relationship with exercise, no matter the impact of their disability. She believes that movement and exercise is a privilege that should be and can be enjoyed by all.
She has been involved in a number of Stand Walk Run intensives, an ARC driven program that involves the Multidisciplinary team to apply the principles of neuroplasticity to a client's program. Through this experience, she has been part of many client journey's that have seen clients with neurological impairments return back to sport, running, work and travels.
Lisa is the co-chair for the Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) special interest group. She has extensive experience working with FND clients and assisting them with understanding their condition, offering creative and sustainable management strategies and helping them re-integrate into physical activity.
Lisa is a cheerleader for her clients, not only in a therapy setting but for all further pursuits that aid in them living a fuller and more meaningful life. She has played a key role in supporting a Parksinson's client, Dean Laws, in completing two marathons and promoting the work of the Dean Team, which aims to improve the lives of all those living with Parkinson's.
Lisa has delivered an evening lecture to health professionals about the Role of Exercise Physiologists in Cardiometabolic risk factor management for the neurological population. Lisa is invested in assessing Neurological clients thoroughly, understanding the various risk factors and secondary health conditions that are related to Neurological conditions. She uses her treatment approach and education components to ensure clients understand their condition and empower them to follow a trajectory that leads them to improved overall health.
Lisa works full-time in our Hurstville clinic. She loves her time on the gym floor getting the most out of her clients, but also supervising the EPs on her team as she believes ARC is one of the best environments for a Neuro EP to thrive.

Marlou completed his Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales. He has 12 years experience working with clients with a range of neurological conditions, particularly spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple sclerosis and stroke. He has a strong passion for neurological rehabilitation and is determined to push the boundaries with our clients to maximise their recovery and quality of life.
Marlou joined Advance Rehab Centre in 2017 and a year later joined the Leadership Team and is now responsible for managing services across the Exercise Physiology team. He values the importance of building strong relationships with his colleagues and working together to ensure our clients are provided with the best rehab outcomes and experiences. Since joining ARC, Marlou has played a key role in revamping all exercise physiology group programs including Neuro Balance, Neuro Gym and Brain Fit. Marlou has also been involved with setting up our community clients returning back to their local gyms or experiencing a gym for the first time which led to the development of the “At Your Gym” program. Marlou is also a PDW qualified instructor and loves delivering group classes. He enjoys learning new innovative ideas and hopes to continue developing the growth of the EP team and service which has grown to a team of 14 clinicians across 3 clinics.

Jason completed his Masters of Exercise Physiology at Australian Catholic University, where he found his passion for neurological rehabilitation. He began working at Advance Rehab Centre in 2014 and helped to establish and grow the Exercise Physiology department to meet the needs of clients needing this service.
Jason has a passion for sport and is an advocate for the vast benefits that sport and recreation can have in rehabilitation. As a result, he has developed ARC’s Beach Access Days as well as the ARC Cycle Club with the goal of improving patient outcomes in a safe and enjoyable environment that differs from traditional rehabilitation.
One of Jason’s career goals is to introduce and assist patients in accessing the wide range of adapted sport and recreational activities that are available. He hopes that this will improve the quality of life of his patients while showing what is truly achievable when living with a disability.
Jason enjoys working with all neurological and complex conditions and has a particular interest in Parkinson’s disease. He is focused on continuing to improve his knowledge and skills in the neurological rehab realm in order to build a large tool kit of rehabilitation techniques such as Nordic Walking; of which he is a qualified instructor.
He is available to see patients in the ARC clinic as well as patients’ homes or local gyms in the Northern Beaches. “What I enjoy the most about neuro rehab is being able to give patients the steering wheel to control their own condition; our job as therapists is simply to guide and assist the patient to achieve the goals that they have defined”.
In 2020 Jason won the Anne-Maree Neal Innovation Award as voted for by his colleagues.
Occupational Therapist (Housing Team)

Analise completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree with Honours at the Australian Catholic University. Here she completed research on the Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance Approach (CO-OP ApproachTM), an intervention widely regarded as the gold standard for addressing functional performance goals in persons who have motor planning difficulties.
Analise has experience working within the disability and rehabilitation space for persons across the lifespan in a variety of community, in-patient, and clinic-based settings.
Analise works collaboratively with people with neurological conditions to support them along their pathway to achieving their functional goals related to inclusion, participation, accessibility, seating and positioning, assistive technology, sensory processing, and housing solutions.
Analise has a particular interest in sensory processing disorders and working with individuals who have complex behavioural support needs. Within ARC’s Housing Team, she prides herself in being able to create innovative environmental solutions and support models which consider a person’s sensory needs and are designed to optimise their functioning.
Analise forms part of the Housing Solutions & SDA Team of Occupational Therapists at ARC. She takes a holistic approach towards understanding her clients and their housing and support goals and applies this knowledge when performing functional assessments, creating support models, or designing housing solutions that aim to support participants to achieve these.
Outside of her role as an Occupational Therapist, Analise enjoys rock climbing and reading in her free time. She has undertaken post-graduate training in the area of access consulting, which has extended her knowledge base in the areas of housing and physical access design standards and solutions.

Eva first discovered a passion for working with clients living with neurological conditions and disabilities whilst still at university during a university placement. This passion for neuro continued to grow after graduation and she started working with this population further. She enjoys working alongside clients to achieve their functional goals, maximise independence, and ultimately improve quality of life by designing and delivering high-quality exercise interventions tailored to each client’s individualised needs.
Eva prioritises building strong rapport with clients to create a safe and positive environment to exercise in. She strives to inspire clients to establish more positive relationships with movement and exercise to allow for long-term adherence by providing ongoing education and support.
Eva works at the Artarmon Clinic on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and in the community on Mondays and Wednesdays. Outside of work, Eva enjoys running, being outdoors and exploring the Sydney beaches.

Isabelle joined the team at Advance Rehab Centre after relocating to Australia from Ireland.
Isabelle began her career working at Beaumont Hospital, Ireland’s centre of excellence for neurosurgery, neurology and stroke. It is here she discovered her passion for neurological rehabilitation, developing extensive skills in both the acute and outpatient setting. In this setting she gained valuable experience in a variety of different conditions working in a multidisciplinary environment.
Isabelle has developed a specialist interest in balance and gait rehabilitation. She enjoys problem solving client’s challenges to help them participate in their hobbies and everyday activities, and loves seeing people achieve their goals.

Ava wants to use her skillset to make exercise accessible to everyone and help improve each client’s independence and quality of life.

She works full time from Monday to Friday between the Hurstville clinic and out in the community.

After graduating Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, Eloise kick started her career working within the private neurological and disability sector and gained invaluable experience treating a wide range of complex conditions. During this role, Eloise became very familiar with the NDIS model.
Whilst living in London, Eloise worked as a locum within the NHS for Guys & St Thomas’ hospital, St Georges’ university hospital, Whittington and St Mary’s Hospital. Furthermore, she worked privately at the Wellington Rehabilitation Hospital, the United Kingdom’s largest private hospital with an award-winning neurological gym and state of the art equipment. This particular experience made Eloise quickly realise that Neurological Rehabilitation is her passion and she is very excited for her future at ARC.
Outside of work, Eloise enjoys running and has recently completed the London Marathon in 2023 raising money for Alzheimer’s disease. Eloise is currently organising a fundraising event to be held in Queensland late 2024 to raise money for Alzheimer’s in particular, for the money to be provided to carers as opposed to research.
Eloise enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, especially when this involves discovering new food spots. She also enjoys travel which made living in London the dream with regular weekend getaways; her favourite locations being Italy and France.

Olivia is from England and started as a physiotherapist in Liverpool in 2016, then moving home and working at the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, gaining specialist neuro-rehabilitation skills on a background of experience in many other clinical areas.
Olivia’s passion is empowering clients to achieve better independence, function and to be stronger for longer with the right tools, movements and knowledge. She loves creative, fun, explosive exercise with many ideas that are outside the box.
Olivia has a special interest in post-stroke rehabilitation (including upper limb rehabilitation), gait retraining and vestibular rehabilitation after working extensively with clients with goals in these areas.
Olivia works in the ARC Artarmon clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and in the community on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Out of work, Olivia enjoys anything active and outdoorsy, and hopes to discover all that Australia has to offer with weekends away exploring. She also loves her food so trying new restaurants with friends is a must!

Ana completed a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales. Ana has been interested in working in neurological rehabilitation from the start of her career, and initially worked in a clinical setting specialising in Cerebral Palsy. Ana also has experience working with adults and children with autism, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease.
Ana is dedicated to integrating physical activity and exercise into each of her clients' lifestyle to promote overall health and wellbeing. She believes movement benefits everyone, and understands that for individuals with neurological conditions, achieving this can be challenging. Therefore, she ensures her programming is individualised and goal-oriented. Ana takes the time to understand her clients, making sure they work hard while also enjoying their sessions with some fun and laughter.
Ana is part of the new Movement Disorder HUB clinic in Artarmon on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and she works at the Hurstville Clinic on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Jessica’s expertise and passion includes finding creative ways to complete task-specific cognitive and upper limb rehabilitation to enhance client’s function in daily activities. Jessica also adeptly completes home modifications and prescribes adaptive equipment, facilitating client safety and independence. Jessica believes in creating client-centred goals to ensure therapy is enjoyable, meaningful and personalised to each individual. Jessica is dedicated to empowering clients, helping them achieve meaningful goals while fostering independence, well-being and an improved quality of life.

Courtney previously has worked in the private hospital sector, splitting her time between an inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation hospital and an inpatient mental health hospital. Courtney during her roles quickly found a strong interest in neurological conditions, and strives to utilise exercise as medicine for physical conditioning and mental wellbeing. Courtney has a specialised interest in Parkinson’s disease, she is PD warrior certified and is proud to be working in the company that founded PD warrior and working closely with the team at ARC.
Courtney joins ARC to up-skill her knowledge and keep up to date with the most recent and best available evidence-based research so she can provide her clients with the knowledge and skills to manage their health as independently as possible, achieve their goals and build healthy relationships with exercise for a long-term lifestyle commitment.

Palak has a Masters of Physiotherapy from Flinders University and a Bachelors of Physiotherapy. She joined the team at ARC in 2023 and has previous experience working in private practice in Adelaide including servicing clients with NDIS, and neurological and geriatric rehabilitation.
Palak is passionate about neurological rehabilitation and has a special interest in Parkinson's Disease, Brain Injury, Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis. In particular, Palak is focused on improving patients quality of life and mobility by providing patient-centered care and treatment to ensure the best possible outcomes for her clients and their families. She is also involved with individual and group therapy programs at ARC.

Outside of work, Palak enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dogs and spending time at home painting or enhancing her calligraphy skills.
Receptionist
Linda has joined the ARC team as a receptionist at our Artarmon Clinic. Prior to working at ARC, Linda has performed a variety of administration roles and loves the opportunity to get to know clients and see them progress through their journey.
Linda has previously taught English in Italy and China and enjoys sharing her travel stories.
Outside of work she enjoys bushwalking, cooking and attending festivals/community events around Sydney.

Emily completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Orange. Since graduating Emily has worked with both adult and paediatric neurological populations and has also worked in the acute Spinal Cord Injury unit at Royal North Shore Hospital.
Emily is very passionate about supporting and empowering people to reach their goals. Emily has a particular interest in spinal cord injury and stroke rehabilitation. However, is also interested in working with other neurological conditions such as Parkinsons, Cerebral Palsy, MS and other progressive neurological conditions. Emily loves being able to support her clients to access a wide array of activities in the community, this is evident when she volunteers as a guide with Disabled Wintersport Australia at the snowfields.
Emily works full-time at ARC and is split between the Artarmon clinic (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and in the community (Wednesday and Friday).

Alex joined the ARC team in July 2023 after just moving over Auckland, NZ. Over the last 2 and half years, Alex has worked at The National Child Rehab Service in Auckland, NZ specialising in the assessment and management of children with neurological and other acquired conditions. Prior to this, she has worked in London for the public sector working at Kings College Hospital in the neurosciences team.
Alex enjoys working in Neuro Rehab, particularly with clients presenting with brain and spinal cord injuries. Alex enjoys the daily challenges and rewards of working across neurological conditions and takes pride in working closely with clients and their families to establish what is most important to them and to help them achieve their goals. Alex enjoys working in ARC’s multidisciplinary team, constantly learning from other team members and her clients.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time at the beach with friends and family, traveling, keeping active, trying new places to eat and drink and playing field hockey.

Neharika is currently studying Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University and would like to pursue a career as a physiotherapist in the future. She came to understand neurological physiotherapy from her studies and enjoys being a part of the ARC team and utilize her knowledge with clients in Artarmon on Thursdays and Fridays but also in the community on Wednesdays as an Allied Health Assistant.
She has experience in the health sector as a medical receptionist and has a passion for being a part of a team that can improve someone to become the best version of themselves.
Outside of work, Neharika delves into her hobbies of figure skating, Swimming and Iyengar Yoga.
Neurological Physiotherapist
After graduating from Macquarie University’s, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Meg spent several years gaining experience in a number of clinical areas before deciding on developing her skills in neurological rehabilitation. She has worked in public and private neurological services in Australia and the UK. Prior to joining the ARC Team, Meg worked in a senior position at a specialist rehabilitation hospital in London, offering goal driven rehabilitation to clients with complex neurological disability and supervising junior staff.
Meg has a special interest in treating clients with multiple sclerosis, stroke and Guillain Barre. She also has experience in the management of tone and spasticity. What she really enjoys about neurological rehabilitation, are the opportunities to work with clients and their families and friends, to achieve a client’s goals.
Meg is working as a community therapist on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
In her spare time Meg enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cooking and travelling.

It was during an early stroke rehabilitation student placement that her passion for neurological rehabilitation was ignited.
Kerry is a graduate of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, UK. After graduation, Kerri worked as a rotational physiotherapist in adult services in the NHS, acquiring a broad range of experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and elderly rehabilitation. Thereafter she specialised in Paediatrics within both hospital and community settings. Kerri has several years’ experience working with children and young people with varied and often complex neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida muscular dystrophies and genetic conditions.
She is passionate about holistic patient care and strongly believes in working as a team together with her clients and other professionals towards meaningful, functional goals that are important to the individual - whatever that may be for them. Kerri enjoys taking group classes, having experienced how peer support can positively impact both function and an overall sense of wellbeing.
Kerri works full time between the Hurstville clinic (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) and out in the community (Monday, Thursday).
Outside of work, Kerri enjoys going to the gym; running; yoga and exploring new places or relaxing at the beach.

Erica completed a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales.
Erica has a strong passion for working with people with neurological conditions and has previously worked with children and adults presenting with a variety of conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Autism, MS, Parkinson’s Disease and Stroke. Erica developed strong skills in working with clients with complex communication needs and has experience in communicating with Key Word Sign and alternative communication devices.
Erica believes everyone should be able to live life to their fullest and strives to help them achieve this through individualised exercise programs tailored to their goals and needs. She enjoys the complex nature of neurological conditions where no two clients are the same. Erica enjoys working with clients to empower them and create positive behaviour change to maximise their independence and function in everyday life. Erica believes in building a strong rapport with her clients and creating a fun and challenging environment to achieve their goals.
Erica works in the Artarmon clinic on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and in the community on Monday and Wednesday. Outside of work, you’ll find Erica going for a swim in the ocean, hanging out with friends or exploring the outdoors.

Jess is one of our Artarmon receptionists who works through the week and as part of the Saturday team. She has worked in a variety of healthcare administration and operational roles prior to working for ARC. She especially loves the opportunity to welcome new clients and make them feel at home, before celebrating their successes with them as they achieve their goals.
Outside of work Jess is a keen reader and traveller, and is always on the hunt for the next adventure!

Aoife Caulfield graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2015 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. Aoife kick started her career in the National Health System in the UK.
During her time working in the NHS, Aoife gained valuable experience working in two Major Trauma Centres. She has worked in various clinical areas such as Trauma and orthopedics, Burns and plastics, Respiratory, Acute Medicine and Musculoskeletal Outpatients, allowing her to develop a well-rounded skillset.
She quickly realised she had a passion for Neurological Rehabilitation and excelled working in various neurological clinical settings such as Neurosurgery, Neuro Intensive Care, Neurology and Neuro Outpatient Rehabilitation. Passionate about providing comprehensive care, Aoife combines her expertise in both Musculoskeletal and Neurological Physiotherapy to address the unique needs of her clients.
Outside of work, Aoife is a fun, active sports person. She enjoys playing Soccer, Volleyball, Gaelic Football, and Camogie. She also values quality time with friends and family. New to Australia, she is enjoying the beautiful scenic walks/hikes and making new memories.
Allied Health Assistant Team Leader and Neurological Physiotherapist
Katharina joined the ARC team in August 2017 after moving to Sydney from Germany.
Katharina has a special interest in treating clients with Functional Neurological Disorder and helping clients with this often underserviced condition achieve their goals.
She is also highly involved in upper limb therapy which involves using all of ARC’s upper limb therapy equipment and technology to provide a modern exercise and rehab experience.
Furthermore, Katharina is a certified PD Warrior Instructor and is training other healthcare professionals both in Australia and Germany to deliver high quality treatment to the Parkinson’s population.
Having been on maternity leave between 2021 and 2023, she has returned to work full-time in the clinic from Tuesday to Saturday. As Allied Health Assistant Team Leader, Katharina is responsible for supervising ARC’s growing team of Allied Health Assistants.
In her free time, Katharina enjoys being active in the outdoors and exploring National Parks in and around Sydney.

Stephanie completed a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (Honours Class I) at the University of Sydney and is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Stephanie was drawn to working alongside people with neurological conditions after thoroughly enjoying a neurological clinical placement whilst at university.
Stephanie loves the complex and unique nature of neurological conditions where no two clients are ever the same. Stephanie learnt many research skills whilst completing her honours thesis in her final year at university and aims to put these skills to good use in order to keep up to date on the most current scientific research for a variety of neurological conditions, to ensure her clients receive the best possible research informed care.
Building strong relationships with her clients is a high priority for Stephanie. Whether it be fostering a safe space to have a chat or laugh whilst exercising, she loves getting to know her clients, why they are here and what their goals are.
Stephanie works in the Artarmon clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and in the community on Wednesdays and Fridays. When she is not working you can find Stephanie taking dance classes at her local studio, cooking in the kitchen or spending quality time with family and friends.

Tayla is a passionate Occupational Therapist with a strong interest in cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb retraining, and seating. She developed her skills and expertise through clinical placements in community mental health, hospital, and paediatric settings, as well as her experience at ARC as an Allied Health Assistant.
Tayla is particularly interested in stroke and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and is committed to using creative, innovative and client-centred approaches to help individuals regain function and improve their quality of life. She is dedicated to building strong therapeutic relationships, ensuring that therapy sessions are personalised, engaging, and promote holistic wellbeing.
Tayla works at the Hurstville clinic Monday to Friday.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, staying active outdoors (with beach days and hikes), spending time with family, friends, and her dog, as well as getting creative with crafts, reading, and exploring new hobbies like pilates or dance.

Tom graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology), and has been a member of ESSA since 2020. He used to be a Master Trainer and EP at RoboFit, and have worked with majority Spinal Cord Injury and Stroke patients, with exposure to MS, FND, ABI, Cerebral Palsy and more.
He accredited 6 new therapists in Cyberdyne HAL exoskeleton technology (as a ‘Master Trainer’) and trained them in Locomotor Training alongside mentoring students from different universities.
He has presented at an international multidisciplinary seminar, presenting a case study of one of his clients, and he has developed a research proposal for ESSA looking at exercise and its effect on self-efficacy and quality of life of NDIS participants.
He is interested in developing his skills to work with Functional Neurological Disorder, as every case he has seen presents very differently.
He is enjoy doing triathlons with his brother and dad, and he is also currently studying Bachelor of Paramedicine through Charles Sturt University!

Samantha is a full time Receptionist at the Hurstville clinic and enjoys getting to know and watching the progress of the lovely clients of ARC. Samantha has completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage and her passion is working in healthcare. She has previously worked in Customer Service and Reception roles.
In her free time, she loves to keep fit by going to the gym, long walks on the beach with her dog, Latin dancing, and she loves to travel and experience different cultures.
Natasha Lewthwaite

Natasha has previous experience working in a wide range of clinical areas in her home country of New Zealand. Over the past few years, she has begun to pursue her interest in working with clients with neurological conditions. Recently, she was based out of a public hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. This involved delivering community based stroke rehabilitation in the sub-acute stage of stroke and providing outpatient amputee, vestibular and neurological physiotherapy input to a wide range of clients.
Natasha has found herself driven towards Sydney and the neurological field due to the wide range of client presentations and opportunities to complete more goal-directed rehabilitation. She is a firm advocate for the need to empower clients to learn about their condition and understand the reasoning behind various treatment methods.
In her spare time, Natasha enjoys heading out for bike rides and exploring new walking trails. She relaxes through reading and is in the process of setting up a hydroponic garden for the first time.
Occupational Therapist (Housing Team)

Molly graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Queensland. Upon graduation, Molly worked in the disability employment sector and worked with individuals to customise modifications to the environment, utilise assistive technology and identify support services to ensure they could continue to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives. Molly completed further training in ergonomics and human factors and presented on human-centred design at a national conference. She has co-directed a multidisciplinary allied health practice and assists at the Australian Catholic University as a Sessional Academic.
Molly works in the Housing Solutions Team at Advance Rehab Centre. She is passionate about utilising design to support people to thrive and maximise their quality of life. She enjoys working with clients to identify their individual goals and creatively and collaboratively problem-solve to identify effective solutions to achieve these goals.
Molly holds post-graduate qualifications in nutrition and applies a holistic approach to her own life and her work with clients. Outside of work, she enjoys road trips, hikes or beach time with her dog and seeing live music.
Allied Health Assistant
Kathryn has Just moved to Australia from Canada, where she has been working as an AHA for the past few years. Her interest in sports and assisting others is what pushed her into becoming an AHA. Kathryn attended University where she graduated with a 2-year diploma in Physical and Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Having worked in both Acute care Hospitals and Inpatient/Outpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals, Kathryn has a variety of experience in different disciplines such as: Pediatrics, Stroke and Brain Injury, MSK, SBI, ICU and Burns, and others.
Kathryn hopes to return to school one day to become a Physiotherapist. Although outside of work you can find her going on coffee and food adventures, playing the piano, travelling to new places, as well as playing Hockey and Volleyball.

Meg works on Reception on weekdays and enjoys getting to know the lovely clients of ARC. She has completed a Cert IV in Fitness as well as Yoga Teacher Training and is continuing to undertake further education before working in her chosen field. Meg has previously worked in a variety of customer service and reception roles as she loves meeting new people and making them feel at home.

Penny has joined ARC after previous years of experience working in the public health systems of NSW Health and the National Health Service in the United Kingdom. She is excited by the scope and variety that the OT role at ARC includes and works between the Artarmon clinic and community.
Her specialist clinical areas include working with clients with stroke and acquired brain injury through physical and cognitive rehabilitation to improve function. She is passionate about evidence-based practice and sharing ways to deliver this effectively to clients.
Outside of work, Penny enjoys spending time with friends and enjoying the great outdoors. She travels whenever she gets the chance and is always looking for tips on new places to visit.

Alice joined the team in November 2022 after spending 7 years working in New Zealand, primarily with people with acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and vestibular complaints (dizziness). With a background in neuroscience she is excited to continue to develop her skills working with other neurological conditions at ARC.
Alice particularly enjoys supporting people to return to independence in the things that matter to them whether it might be walking in the mountains or holding a fishing rod. Seeing someone regain the confidence to do something they have been avoiding for reasons like fear of falling, dizziness, or not having the strength is extremely rewarding. She enjoys working in the neurological rehabilitation setting due to the variety each client brings with their individual personalities and goals. Alice values being part of a multidisciplinary team as it allows a holistic approach and each member of the team brings a different way of looking at a problem to find a solution that works for the client.
Alice is based full time in the Hurstville clinic.
Outside of work, Alice enjoys playing (field) hockey, hiking and travelling.

Maheen has a particular interest in wheelchairs and seating and stroke rehab. Maheen is passionate about OT as it allows her to empower individuals to live a life of quality, facilitating clients to reach life’s potential. She loves working in a multidisciplinary setting and having the opportunity to bounce ideas off team members.

Rachel graduated as an Occupational Therapist from Australian Catholic University. She developed an interest in neurological rehabilitation during her studies and throughout clinical placements.
Rachel has an interest in using robotics and other technologies to increase the intensity of therapy and drive motor recovery. Rachel is passionate about working alongside clients to help them achieve their goals.
Rachel is currently working five days, split between the community and the Artarmon clinic.

Annabel graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand.
Annabel has worked at Middlemore Hospital, working in a rehab ward where she gained experience in stroke, Guillain-Barre and amputation- helping her find her passion for neurological rehabilitation.
Annabel strives to problem-solve and provide personalized care in collaboration with her clients. She has a particular interest in stroke, cognitive retraining and using functional tasks to engage clients in the things that are most meaningful to them. Annabel works in both the Artarmon clinic and in the community.
Outside of work, Annabel likes to go to the beach, catch up with friends or call family and friends back home. Her most memorable moment was when she trekked to Everest Base Camp.

Daniela graduated from the University of Sydney with a Master of Occupational Therapy. Prior to joining the ARC team, she worked in a community role with NDIS clients of a range of different ages and living with varying psychosocial, physical, and neurological disabilities. It was during this first role that she developed a keen interest in neurological rehabilitation and sought out a position in a paediatric neurological rehabilitation.
Daniela has a particular interest in equipment prescription, cognitive rehabilitation, and generally supporting her clients to achieve their individually identified goals regardless of their disability. She is driven by helping her clients achieve the best life possible and will explore every option available to reach this end goal.
Outside of work, Daniela leads a very active and adventurous life, and will often be found rock climbing, cycling or at the gym. She also enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and trying her hand at various arts and crafts.

Caterina has a Bachelor of Communications (Digital and Social Media) from UTS and has been working in the customer service industry since the age of 16.
Her favourite part about working at ARC is seeing the progress clients make after every session and how much of a difference the clinic makes in their lives.

Monique graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree. Prior to joining the ARC team, she worked in a community role with NDIS clients, delivering therapy to individuals of all ages living with neurological conditions, and psychosocial and physical disabilities, and this is where her passion for neurological rehab began.
Monique has a particular interest in stroke, upper limb rehab, and spinal cord injuries, and is motivated to ensure that her clients are working towards reaching their own individual goals. She is also experienced in equipment prescription, complex seating assessments, assistive technology and home modifications and enjoys exploring all options to enable individuals to live their best life possible.
Monique is passionate about OT and the amazing impact it can have on an individual and their quality of life. She strongly believes that everyone should be able to live the life they most desire, regardless of their disability.
Currently at ARC Monique shares her time between working in the community and our Hurstville clinic.

Penny moved to Australia earlier in 2022 after gaining experience in a variety of NHS roles in London, UK.
Penny particularly enjoys stroke rehab as well as working with people with traumatic brain injuries. She enjoys working in the neurological rehabilitation setting due to the variety each day brings and the opportunity to be creative with rehab and equipment. Penny also values being part of a multidisciplinary team as it allows holistic and collaborative problem solving, which leads to the best client outcomes.
Outside of work, Penny enjoys travelling and being by and in the ocean! Back home, Penny has a vintage campervan she enjoys working on and camping with. She also enjoys playing tennis and hiking.

Danielle works in Reception on weekdays and absolutely loves the fun and enthusiastic energy brought to ARC. She is soon to be starting a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science at Newcastle University. Danielle has previously worked in customer service and loves to interact with the many happy and excited client here at ARC.
In her spare time, she loves to go away 4WDing and sets up camp on the beautiful beaches of Australia and is also very involved with many sporting teams such as basketball, Soccer and touch football.

Lauren comes to ARC with 8 years of experience working in a public hospital setting, with 5 years specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation. Lauren loves to work closely with her clients and enjoys building relationships while supporting them in achieving their goals.
Lauren takes pride in incorporating evidence into her daily practice. She currently works part-time in neurological rehabilitation at ARC and part-time at a hospital with casual work with the Allied Health Research Unit in Public Health.
Lauren has a special interest in cognitive rehab, upper limb retraining, and equipment prescription with a focus on working with clients with brain injury, stroke and motor neurone disease. Lauren has formal training in PRPP assessment and evidence-based cognitive rehab, as well as the completion of training and continued experience in implementing CIMT.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time at the beach, playing sports and experiencing various restaurants and cuisines.

Joyce graduated from Macquarie University’s Doctor of Physiotherapy before joining the ARC team as a physiotherapist. It was during her clinical placements as a student physiotherapist that Joyce discovered her passion for working in the neurological field. She completed an internship at a multidisciplinary allied health NDIS provider, and is now a proud member of the ARC team.
Joyce is enthusiastic about being able to help individual’s achieve their own goals and improve their quality of life, and believes a good balance between knowledge of best evidence-based practice and creative fun will help achieve this. Joyce loves building an open and enjoyable space to keep clients motivated and accountable throughout their rehabilitation journey. She has a particular interest stroke, Parkinson’s disease and paediatrics.
Joyce works full-time Monday to Friday, between the Artarmon clinic and out in the community.

Sarah recently graduated from Macquarie University’s Doctor of Physiotherapy and completed an internship at ARC as part of her course. She is delighted to be back working as a physiotherapist. She quickly found her passion in neuro as a student and began working in an inpatient rehab hospital. She is now excited to pursue a career in neurological physiotherapy.
Sarah has a particular interest in evidence-based practice, having recently completed a research project on robotic-assisted gait re-trainers. Sarah loves taking the time to get to know her clients to better assist them in achieving their goals.

Kavya has varied experience in orthopaedic, sports and neurological rehabilitation in inpatient and outpatient settings. During one such placement in an inpatient setting, she discovered her passion for neurological physiotherapy when she realised the impact it can have on someone’s life and so initially joined ARC for an internship as a part of her Doctor of Physiotherapy and then was delighted to be given an opportunity to return as a Physiotherapist.
Kavya has a passion for helping people achieve their goals while making therapy enjoyable. She has a particular interest in Spinal Cord Injuries, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. Kavya is a firm believer in getting to the root cause of the problem and then using education and exercise to overcome these problems and support her clients on their journey. Kavya loves using her background in sports and exercise to not only work through musculoskeletal problems that her clients might develop inevitably but also find creative ways to keep her clients motivated and engaged in therapy. She really enjoys working as a part of a multidisciplinary team as it allows her to problem solve with different disciplines to get the best possible outcome for her clients.

Aleisha graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Newcastle, where she completed Honours research on the role of Occupational Therapy in Women’s Health. Prior to working at ARC, Aleisha worked in the hospital setting, where she gained experience with a wide range of conditions and developed a passion for neurological rehabilitation.
Aleisha holds a special interest in stroke and traumatic brain injury, providing clients with a holistic approach to regaining function. She is enthusiastic about empowering clients to reach their individual goals and now works full-time at our Artarmon clinic and the community.
A fun fact about Aleisha is that she spent a year travelling around Australia in a self-converted campervan.
Referrals Coordinator
Kirsten has always had a keen interest in helping and supporting people. She started her working career in nursing before completing a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Microbiology and working for many years in this field. She took a break from work to raise her three children before returning to work in an administrative role at an osteopath and is now at ARC. She finds the dedication and commitment of the clients and team at Advanced Rehab Centre inspiring and enjoys being able to contribute to this.
Outside of work, Kirsten loves to be in the great outdoors, hiking, sailing and just being in nature.

Trang has previous experience in private practice, including servicing clients with NDIS and experience in neurological, musculoskeletal and geriatric rehabilitation. She quickly developed a passion for neurological rehabilitation and has a strong interest in Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease.
Trang is passionate about providing patient-centered care and treatment to ensure the best possible outcomes for her clients and their families. She is involved with individual and group therapy programs at ARC.

After graduating from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Exercise Science, Cassandra completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. She joined the ARC team in 2022.
With several years’ experience working at Liverpool Hospital and Liverpool Brain Injury Unit, Cassandra developed a passion for working alongside clients with neurological conditions to improve their mobility, function and overall participation in the community. She has a special interest in acquired brain injury, functional neurological disorders, and vestibular conditions.
Cassandra works in both the clinic and the community team. She works Tuesdays and Thursdays in the clinic and gets out into the community to see her clients on Mondays and Wednesdays.
On her weekends, you can find Cassandra hiking in the Blue Mountains and taking her Labrador to the local dog park.

Marianne has previously worked in the disability sector as a support worker and has experience in approaching people empathetically and motivationally, aiding them to work towards their personal goals and live more independently. During her time as a support worker, she has collaborated with other health professionals in a variety of environments as such in-home, rehabilitation centres, and within the community. She has a genuine passion for helping individuals with disabilities and wants to be able to help make a positive difference in their lives.
Marianne is currently completing her Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, specialising in Occupational Therapy. She previously studied part of a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Sydney and, in the future would like to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy.
Outside of work, Marianne enjoys crocheting as well as spending time with her husband and fur babies, 4 bunnies and a dog Nala.

Will has completed his Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, specialising in physiotherapy assistance. While studying, he completed work placement at an in-patient rehabilitation hospital, where he gained experience working under the instruction of physios and OTs to assist clients to become independent and functional, allowing greater opportunity for them to return to living at home.
Will enjoys working as part of the multidisciplinary team at ARC as it provides the opportunity to learn from diverse and experienced therapists.
In his spare time, Will enjoys playing social sports and completing a wide range of walks around Sydney and surrounding areas.

Alice currently studies Marketing and Management at Massey University (New Zealand) and has an interest in the entertainment industry.
In 2019, prior to joining Advance Rehab Centre, Alice had worked in Insurance doing a variety of customer, management, and admin-related roles. Alice joined ARC in February 2022. She takes pride in assisting clients with all of their scheduling needs and assisting with other inquiries. Her goal is to provide friendly and supportive customer service to all ARC clients.
Outside of work Alice enjoys completing escape rooms, Formula 1, art, BTS, and travelling with friends.

Natalie qualified as an Occupational Therapist in Sydney and has since worked in both the Australian and UK health systems. Natalie brings with her a wide range of experience in mental health and community therapy as well as neurological areas such as MS, stroke rehab, and spinal cord injury rehab.
Prior to working at ARC, Natalie was working with MS Limited for 4 years, and MS remains an area of special interest and expertise for her. Other areas of interest are upper limb rehabilitation; vocational rehabilitation; cognitive assessment and rehabilitation; assistive technology and equipment prescription; and assessment of function and support needs.
Natalie leads a team of dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapists, and her time is split between working in the clinic and contributing to service development and the professional growth and support of the team. Natalie is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals and live their lives to the fullest.

Kyle has previous clinical experience in the private hospital sector and is a strong believer in exercise providing one of the foundations required to take control of life and live it to the fullest. Kyle emphasises this when working with clients who have complex and chronic conditions. Kyle enjoys the highly individualised and challenging nature of neurological rehabilitation, driving him to maximise his client's independence and quality of life, while empowering them to achieve their goals and work towards independence.
Kyle is available Monday-Friday, split between Artarmon and the community setting.

Dominique has over 15 years experience working with people with neurological conditions. She has worked in public hospitals, private clinic and community neuro specific roles. She enjoys taking part in the education of other physiotherapy staff and students and has previously been involved in stroke research looking at activity levels in acute stroke. She is passionate about helping those with neurological conditions work consistently to achieve small and large wins.
Dominique works on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday seeing clients in the community in the Blue Mountains and Penrith area.

Sarah completed a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of Queensland.
Sarah has a strong passion for working with people with neurological conditions and has previously worked with Cerebral palsy children and young athletes, focusing on building their fitness and strength in a fun and supportive environment. She has also worked with people with spinal cord injuries, focusing on building their fundamental movement skills, increasing their independence, and reaching their full potential.
Sarah strives to be knowledgeable on the most current research for every neurological condition to better equip her clients with education and exercise programs to rapidly achieve their goals and enjoys working with all neurological and complex conditions.
Sarah works at the Artarmon Clinic on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and in the community on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She believes on ‘living life to the fullest!’ and you will usually find her doing yoga, exploring NSW, playing beach volleyball, and surfing!
Senior Vestibular Therapist
Sasha graduated from the University of Sydney in 1998 working in a variety of settings including large public teaching hospitals and private practices treating sports, spinal, women’s health and community-based aged care.
Over the last three years, Sasha has been trained intensively and developed a specialization in vestibular physiotherapy. Vestibular treatments can help with BPPV, vestibular neuritis, Meniere’s, migraine, headache, concussion and balance problems. Sasha has been trained in the Watson Headache Technique which has been effective in treating head pain, dizziness or migraine symptoms.
Sasha loves helping clients manage their debilitating symptoms and see them return to the joys of daily life. Sasha enjoys all things art, painting, being at the ocean and spending quality time with her family, friends and two energetic dogs.

Neurological Physiotherapist
Scarlett has worked as a physiotherapist in large public adult and paediatric hospitals. Scarlett initially worked primarily in acute care then developing a passion for neurological rehabilitation. She has a special interest in stroke, SCI and FND and runs the MS hydrotherapy group at ARC.
Scarlett provides evidence-based interventions to optimise a client's rehab outcomes. She always strives to make therapy enjoyable and meaningful to get the most out of every session with all of her clients.
Scarlett works full time at ARC with her time split between the clinic (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) and the community (Wednesday, Friday).
In her free time, Scarlett enjoys cooking, doing handstands, gymnastics/acro and patting other people’s dogs at the beach.
"Lisa completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of Western Sydney, graduating in 1999. Lisa has worked for public and non-government organisations both in NSW and the Northern Territory. She has spent most of her career working with children and adults with complex physical disabilities and is passionate about working with participants and their support network to achieve their goals.
Lisa has extensive experience working with people living and transitioning into and out of a variety of supported accommodation settings. She has a particular passion for working with teens and young adults who are transitioning into adulthood and adult based services. Lisa also has a wealth of experience in prescribing complex assistive technology, including wheelchairs and seating, manual handling equipment, and alternate positioning equipment.
Lisa is a senior Occupational Therapist in the ARC Housing Solutions and SDA Team and thoroughly enjoys supporting NDIS participants to explore and achieve their housing and support goals.
Outside her role as an Occupational Therapist, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two young kids camping and exploring new places in the great outdoors."
Anneliese has a varied background of experience to bring to her role as an Allied Health Assistant. She has almost 10 years of experience as a dance instructor and therefore has a strong passion for and interest in human movement, biomechanics and anatomy. She is completing her Certificate III & IV in Allied Health Assistance, specialising in Physiotherapy and has previously studied part of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle, which she intends to complete in the future.
Anneliese loves working in a rehab setting as is passionate about helping improve clients' quality of life, as well as getting to know new faces each day. Her role is split between the clinic and the community.
Outside of work, Anneliese enjoys yoga, Pilates, good coffee and spending time with her fiancé.
Since graduating from University, Anne gained a variety of experience in both the UK and New Zealand before deciding to focus her career on neurological rehabilitation.
In her time at Advanced Rehab Centre, Anne has developed her field of practice in cognitive rehabilitation providing individualised therapy in the clinic, community and via telehealth. Anne greatly enjoys working with clients to achieve their goals including return to work and increasing active participation in the home and community. Anne is experienced in working with functional neurological disorder (FND) clients and has further developed her practice in this area alongside the ARC FND physiotherapy team. Further clinical interests include cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation, fatigue management and functional retraining.
Anne has extensive experience supporting clients with concussion management and works with ARC’s Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapist to provide multidisciplinary concussion services.
Anne works both in the community and ARC clinic.
Since being in Australia Anne has enjoyed exploring as many beaches as possible and has recently enjoyed taking up running alongside the beautiful coastlines.
Bronte is currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at ACU and hopes to pursue a career as a Neurological Occupational Therapist once graduated. Bronte enjoys working both in the ARC clinic and in the community as an Allied Health Assistant. Bronte is passionate about helping people to regain their independence and getting them back to meaningful activities in their lives.

Neurological Physiotherapist.
Ripley was inspired to be a physiotherapist after first learning about neurological rehabilitation. Ripley has previous experience with a private community provider, servicing predominantly NDIS clients with a very wide range of conditions and life stages, including paediatrics. There she was able to gain valuable experience in many community environments including hydrotherapy and was passionate about her work involving equipment prescription.
Ripley relocated to Sydney to pursue a passion for working comprehensively with people on their rehabilitation goals and consistently learn from new challenges. Ripley loves working with people with unique and unusual symptoms and has a particular interest in gait rehabilitation. Ripley is a LEXO trained therapist and is an advocate for the use of technology to improve client outcomes.
Ripley has been a member of the APA neurological group since graduating, has assisted on specialist research and hopes to soon complete a Master in Clinical Rehabilitation.
As a full-time employee, Ripley is split between the Hurstville clinic and the community.

Kate is currently undergoing a Doctor of Physiotherapy Degree. Kate developed an interest in neurological rehabilitation when completing a student placement at Advanced Rehab Centre. In particular, Kate is interested in multiple sclerosis and vestibular disorders. Kate has already gained experience in a number of different clinical settings, which has fuelled her passion for providing holistic care with a patient-centred approach.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys being outdoors with friends on bush walks or at the beach, and she loves playing sports - both netball and Volleyball. Kate has competed at a high level for Volleyball and remains part of the Sydney North Volleyball Leadership Team.
Kate works in the Artarmon clinic on Saturdays and within the community during the week.

Maddi is currently studying at the University of New South Wales to become an accredited Exercise Physiologist. Since being at ARC Maddi has grown her passion for allied health and really enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team across the physiotherapy, occupational therapy and exercise physiology teams.
She is working at ARC 3 days which is split between the community and in the clinic. Maddi is also a qualified development swim coach and continues to coach teenagers, alongside her role at ARC.
Maddi’s hobbies include participating in ocean swimming events, camping and taking her sausage dog, Loki, for walks!

Jack completed his Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of South Australia. He is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist.
Previously from South Australia, Jack has worked in a multidisciplinary private practice specialising in neurological rehabilitation, disability services and rehabilitation of seriously injured workers. In this role he worked with a range of neurological conditions, particularly brain injury, stroke, neuromuscular conditions, and intellectual disability.
Jack feels lucky to have worked with various patients who partake in elite level sport through to recreation, particularly wheelchair sports and Paralympic rowing. He is passionate about all neurological rehabilitation, from gait retraining to performance. He is an advocate for stating “investing in your health now will pay dividends later” and strongly believes that people should be empowered to get the best out of themselves and their bodies, in which allied health professionals are equipped to provide. Jack strives to work holistically with patients to maximise their potential, participation and quality of life, as rehabilitation is only part of the journey.
Jack works at the ARC clinic and in the community around South Sydney/Cronulla.
Outside of work you’ll find Jack playing AFL, at the beach, exploring Sydney’s coastline, and visiting family and friends back home in Adelaide.

Alanna has over 20 years of experience in a wide range of acute services, outpatient settings and community rehabilitation, including Westmead Brain Injury Unit and neuro rehab. Alanna has just moved her family back home to Sydney after working in the acquired brain injury setting in a large rehabilitation hospital in Melbourne for 12 years.
Her interest in physio was well established as a school student within a family of athletes and specialising in brain injury rehabilitation followed soon after when a family member sustained an injury. Alanna’s passion is involving her client’s family and community to help them achieve their goals.
When not working at ARC Alanna loves singing and teaching violin within the local area. She works in the Artarmon clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and rostered on some Saturdays.
Neurological Physiotherapist
On gaining her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University Sarah was also awarded the Doctor of Physiotherapy Excellence in Clinical Practice Prize at Macquarie University in her year for her work in neurological, general, and acute rehabilitation.
Inspired to work in allied health after growing up with family members with physical and intellectual disabilities, Sarah also worked in the neurological disability sector as an allied health assistant prior to gaining her physiotherapy doctorate consolidating her desire to continue working in neuro rehab. She is passionate about person-centred care, with particular interest in helping people with stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, and some of the less common neurological conditions. Sarah has published and presented research in goal-setting, focusing on making goals meaningful and improving person-clinician communication, as well as the use of electrical stimulation in stroke rehabilitation as part of a Cochrane review. She enjoys taking this goal based approach into her clinical practice with her clients to focus therapy and ensure it is meaningful to that individual.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys long distance hiking, walking around the park with her border collie, or curling up with a good book and her rescue cat.
Sarah works in a split role between the Artarmon clinic and the community.
Lulu loves being part of the energetic team at ARC and is buoyed by the diligence and tenacity of the clients who attend the clinic. She works in Reception on Saturdays and the occasional Friday. During the rest of the week Lulu co-ordinates a team of volunteers to connect with people living with Dementia in an aged care residence. She has previously worked in administration and pastoral care roles. One of her jobs was overseeing Compliance in a Primary School where she looked after the first aid room. Nearly every complaint was cured with either an ice-pack or water.
Lulu grew up in the highlands of Papua New Guinea but her adult life has been in Sydney’s inner city. She and her husband have 2 adult children.

Prior to joining the ARC Team, Liz worked worked for the Department of Education as the Administration Manager at St Ives Public School for 14 years.
Liz has 4 children and 4 grand-children and when she isn't working at ARC, Liz is busy with her nannie duties looking after said grandchildren!
Liz describes herself as a frustrated florist, cake decorator, baker and seamstress. She will give anything a go – with a 'you have nothing to lose' attitude! Liz was the first female president of an AFL club in Sydney and is currently the Vice President and Secretary of the same club.

Prior to joining ARC, Sarah worked for an Aged Care provider for 12 years, in a variety of customer related roles, such as Care Worker, Administrative Support and Care Manager.
Sarah has 3 children and is looking forward to impending Grandmother status. She is still very involved in her younger son’s soccer on the weekends and most likes to relax with music and a book.

Prior to starting at Advance Rehab Centre, Tegan worked in the disability sector in various capacities. She gained years of experience as a support worker who loved getting to know her clients and their stories; after years of support work, she decided to assist people from another angle and began a job as an NDIS Support Coordinator where she helped individuals manage their NDIS plans, budget accordingly and advocate for them during their plan reviews.
Tegan worked closely with Advance Rehab Centre while in her NDIS Support Coordinator role and applied for a role when she saw the opportunity arise as a receptionist. She has now taken on the role of Office Manager and is loving it; she is consistently amazed by the clients she meets and their determination and strength and is grateful to work with such an amazing and supportive group of people.

Natalie comes from an administrative and marketing background, working in social media and managing promotional campaigns in Allied Health and has always had a growing passion for the health industry.
Originally from the country, Natalie moved to Sydney from Bathurst to pursue a Bachelor of Human Sciences with a Major in Human Movement at Macquarie University. She has a keen interest in anatomical sciences and injury management.
Natalie works in the clinic Monday through to Friday. You are more likely to meet her at the end of the telephone, but she would always be happy to say hello to you and meet you in person in our clinic!

Debbie has worked in both the private and public sectors, and across all age groups. She has expertise in working with children and adults with complex physical disability, intellectual disability, autism, dual diagnoses, and sensory processing difficulties. Debbie has worked extensively with families, with people living in the community and in supported accommodation settings.
Debbie joined the Housing Solutions and SDA team of Occupational Therapists at ARC, and very much enjoys working with participants to achieve life changing housing and support goals.

Lucy trained in New Zealand and started out working in psychiatry and with the elderly population in New Zealand and briefly in London. Lucy then moved into the field of injury prevention and management and work rehabilitation, working in private practice with large government departments and corporates. At this time, she completed a post graduate qualification in Ergonomics. Having lived in Wellington for many years, her family was ready for a new experience and they moved to Sydney.
Since coming to Australia, Lucy has gained varied experience working in acute in-patient rehabilitation and in a new model GP practice. Lucy has completed her Assistive Technology Complex Home Modifications course. Universal design and creating environments that enable and support users to live well has always interested her.
Lucy works in the Housing Solutions Team at Advance Rehab Centre and has assisted a number of NDIS clients to be approved for SDA, assisting her clients to live in environments that are safe, appropriate to their needs and that enable them to achieve their goals. During 2020 Lucy completed her training in the new I-CAN assessment to assist clients to identify their level of function and support needs as part of their SDA journey.
Senior Occupational Therapist (Housing Team)
Kate graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 and has over 16 years clinical experience providing occupational therapy treatment and case management services.
Kate has worked predominantly in neurological rehabilitation, in the public and private sector, from the acute stage of hospital treatment to successful reintegration of clients into the community. She worked in a London hospital for four years initially as part of an inpatient neurological rehabilitation team and then as part of the community outreach team. Kate also has expert witness experience in medico-legal assessment, report writing, and court attendance.
Kate joined Advance Rehab Centre in 2018 as a senior Occupational Therapist in the Housing Solutions Team. She works in a part-time capacity mostly to support NDIS participants to explore their housing options and to apply for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) eligibility.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys her time as a busy mum of three.

Claire graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Sydney. She has worked across various metropolitan hospitals within Sydney, and privately for the last 16 years. Claire has significant experience in providing occupational therapy services for clients with complex needs ranging from neurodegenerative disorders, aged care, and rehabilitation. Claire has a wealth of experience and passion for complex assistive technology scripting, including wheelchair and seating; and home modifications.

Additionally, Gisele has previously volunteered in Cape Town, South Africa supporting children and their families with a neurological diagnosis.

Hannah completed a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy with an Honours project in memory strategies for people with cognitive impairment and developed a passion for neurological conditions early on in her training and career. Her strong interest in cognitive processes led her to complete further studies in Cognitive Science while commencing in the workforce.
Hannah enjoys working in the community setting and developing long-term professional relationships with her clients and following them through life transitions in their own home environment. Since joining ARC, Hannah has worked with clients to successfully gain approval for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and transition into their new environment, explore alternative housing solutions and obtain appropriate levels of care to suit their needs.
In the community team, Hannah particularly enjoys assessing and organising assistive technology solutions and retraining clients in functional tasks to help maintain independence and safety. She also has experience with and enjoys home assessments, minor modifications and wheelchair prescription. Hannah values working collaboratively within a reliable multidisciplinary team to best approach the client’s goals drawing on all expertise.

Julie has worked extensively within the neuro rehabilitation field, following her junior rotations where she realised she had a keen interest in this specialist area.
Julie qualified as an Occupational Therapist in the UK and has spent the majority of her career working in the UK in both acute hospitals and rehabilitation environments. Julie’s most recent role in the UK, before moving to Sydney, was working as the Lead Neuro Vocational Rehab OT in a military rehab hospital, DMRC Headley Court. Here she worked with military personell living with a range of neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and brain tumours.
Julie has joined Advance Rehab Centre as the clinical lead for our Seating Clinic and enjoys problem solving the most appropriate seating solution for clients to meet their postural and functional needs.
Julie has experience working in the NDIS setting and in the following areas of Neuro Rehabilitation: seating and postural assessments; wheelchair prescription; upper limb rehabilitation; cognitive assessment and rehabilitation; vocational rehabilitation; assistive technology and equipment prescription; assessment of activities of daily living and support needs; and detailed NDIS report writing.
Julie works full-time and her time is split between the clinic and the community.

Melinda graduated as an Occupational Therapist from James Cook University. She worked in Queensland for three years, gaining experience with a range of caseloads within a hospital setting before moving to the UK.
While living and working in the UK for over 7 years, Melinda found her passion in neurological rehabilitation and has focused her practice in this area ever since. She has gained extensive experience working with clients in a variety of settings from the acute hospital stages to community rehabilitation and successful community re-integration. She has a particular interest in working with people who have suffered stroke and traumatic brain injury and has experience in providing cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation and functional retraining.
Melinda is passionate about working alongside clients to help them to realise and achieve their potential in working towards their goals.
Melinda works in the community team at Advance Rehab Centre, 3 days a week.

Polly has over 10 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist in both the UK and Australia. Her experience ranges from community and complex physical disabilities to upper limb and cognitive rehab in her role as the Occupational Therapy Team Leader at Advance Rehab Centre.
Polly is a strong advocate of evidence-based practice, something that is demonstrated in her own working style as well as the team at ARC. Polly also actively adopts emerging technologies focusing predominantly on upper limb rehab utilising robotics and virtual reality.
Polly has experience in treating a number of neurological disorders such as MND, Stroke, MS and brain injury and is a registered member of FND Australia and the Australian Occupational Therapist Council.
As OT Team Leader, Polly has pioneered a number of core OT services such as the upper limb Intensive program, the cognitive rehabilitation service, seating clinic and assistive technology assessment and prescription.
With over 5 years of experience working with the NDIS, Polly is extremely adept at supporting clients to access the services they require as part of the scheme. Polly is passionate about ensuring that clients goals are achieved across a diverse number of outcomes ranging from complex seating solutions, assistive technology and return to function.

Hiruni has experience working as a physiotherapy assistant and support worker in pediatric community disability with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, as well as working in various rehabilitation settings with patients with stroke and MS.
Hiruni has a strong passion for working in neurological disability and is determined to make a positive impact to improve the quality of life of others. She has a particular interest in neurological paediatrics and spinal cord injury. She also enjoys searching for ways to keep clients motivated throughout their rehabilitation process with her background in fitness training. Hiruni loves creating awareness of the importance of movement and benefits of staying physically active.
Outside of work, Hiruni enjoys weightlifting and mostly anything that keeps her physically active. She also enjoys the beach, hiking and trying out various food spots with her friends and family.

Hannah has previous experience in neurological, orthopaedic and geriatric rehabilitation through her work as an allied health assistant. During this time, Hannah developed a passion for all aspects of neurological rehab when she saw the impact this work had on her clients' lives.
Hannah has a particular interest in Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries and stroke rehabilitation. Hannah is also passionate about working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality, compassionate care to achieve the best outcomes for her clients. Hannah is also a qualified PD Warrior Instructor at ARC.
Hannah works four days a week with her time split between the clinic (Tuesday, Saturday) and the community (Wednesday, Friday).
In her free time Hannah enjoys horse riding or going for long walks on the beach with her dogs.

After completing a six-month internship at ARC Camille joined the team as a Neurological Physiotherapist.
Camille has a wide range of experience in disability support, having previously worked with spinal cord injury and brain injury clients in both community and rehabilitation settings. Camille also works as a physiotherapist for the senior squad for an AFL team.
Camille has a special interest in both spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. She is extremely passionate about helping clients to maximise their potential in the community and in adaptive sports and recreation. Camille is a keen user of technology in her practice and believes in collaborating with the whole multi-disciplinary team to provide the best care for her clients and make a positive difference to their quality of life.
During her internship at ARC, Camille researched the feasibility and acceptability of the LEXO, specifically from the client’s perspective of the device. She is LEXO trained as well as a certified PD Warrior instructor. Camille is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), always striving to learn more and develop her skills in the field of neurological physiotherapy.
Camille works in the clinic full-time. Outside of work, Camille loves being surrounded by water, at the beach or by the river. She is an avid water-skier and is currently trying out surfing.

Anna completed an internship here at ARC and has previous experience in neuro rehab in public hospitals - she is delighted to be back at ARC working as a Physiotherapist.
Anna has been involved in research on robotic assisted gait training, particularly on the LEXO. She is a certified LEXO therapist as well as a PD Warrior instructor.
Anna has a particular interest in working in stroke rehabilitation, along with working with clients with Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis to help them achieve their goals. She particularly enjoys the rewarding experience of contributing to clients’ overall wellbeing and helping them to maintain their motivation in therapy.
Anna works full time between the clinic and in the community - Tuesday to Saturday.

During these experiences, he gained a passion for neurological physiotherapy, in particular with conditions such as Huntington’s Disease, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, myoclonus dystonia, and multiple sclerosis.
Justin has a passion and aspiration to enhance the quality of people’s lives through emphasising a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing. He holds a strong belief that physiotherapy is a career that requires lifelong learning for successful treatment outcomes and effectiveness.
Justin works full-time at ARC and is split between the clinic and community.

Joss joined the ARC Team after gaining experience in a broad range of clinical areas in the public sector. She developed her interest for neurological physiotherapy early in university and has been involved with neurological physiotherapy academics.
Over the last few years Joss has been an active committee member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Neuro Group and an APA member.
Joss loves collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to creatively problem solve and achieve the best outcomes for her patients. Joss has a strong interest in spinal cord injury, stroke and Parkinson's disease. She is involved in the running of hydrotherapy, is LEXO trained and is a PD Warrior trained therapist.
Joss works full-time at Advance Rehab Centre and is split between the clinic and community teams - working Tuesday to Saturday.

Since moving to Australia 8 years ago, Becky has gained broad physiotherapy experience in Melbourne, Darwin and Sydney. More recently, Becky has worked in private practice and a rehabilitation hospital where she took the lead with neurological patients and set up specific Parkinson's disease services.
Becky has a particular interest in stroke rehabilitation and working with people living with Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. Becky understands that people living with chronic conditions often experience musculoskeletal problems and uses her skills and knowledge to support the broader team.
Becky loves being fully immersed in the neurological rehabilitation setting where she can build rapport with clients and be creative to support their progress and make a difference to their quality of life. Being part of the multidisciplinary team is very important to Becky as she is enjoys the collaboration with problem solving with different disciplines and appreciates the importance of treating the clients holistically to get the best outcomes.
Outside of work, Becky loves travelling, going camping and hiking. She has recently tried her hand at triathlons and started ocean swimming which she never thought she’d be brave enough to do! Becky works in the ARC clinic and also the community team.

Laura works full-time at Advance Rehab Centre and is split between the clinic and community teams, working Mondays and Thursdays in the community and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday in the clinic.

Sarah completed her Physiotherapy degree in the UK. After years of rotating through different hospital physiotherapy departments in both the acute and rehabilitation settings in Sydney she moved to Broken Hill, NSW where she spent 2 years living in the outback, working at the base hospital and with the Royal Flying Doctor service. Her passion to provide neuro physiotherapy and mentor other clinicians who live rurally via telehealth was ignited from her Broken Hill experiences.
Sarah has been a part of the ARC team since 2020 with a special interest in treating clients with functional neurological disorder, stroke and Parkinson’s disease. Sarah works full time between the Artarmon clinic and the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder HUB. She is trained in delivering the PD Warrior program to clients with Parkinson’s disease and enjoys both the individualised physiotherapy sessions as well as running the group classes. Sarah has previously been the chair of the functional neurological disorder special interest group at ARC to improve the service delivery to our FND clients. Sarah has a special interest in ensuring clients are set up well at home to participate in a home exercise program that enables them to take more control over self-managing their condition. Sarah is the Co-Founder of Plasticise.
Sarah enjoys playing the violin and continues to challenge herself with mountain biking during weekends away with her partner. When she is not doing either of those two things, you will find her at the beach or doing something social and active with friends and family.

Cindy has developed extensive experience in a range of clinical settings and specialties across NZ, the UK and Australia. She quickly developed a strong passion for neurological physiotherapy after working in a range of acute stoke units and neurorehabilitation wards. She particularly enjoyed working with stroke, acquired brain injuries, and Parkinson’s disease.
In 2019, Cindy relocated to Sydney where she worked as a senior neurological physiotherapist in a community clinic. She specialised in spinal cord injuries, stroke, acquired brain injuries and multiple sclerosis. During this time, Cindy established the upper limb group to provide specific and high quality therapy to clients with upper limb goals. She enjoys balance and gait retraining, with a client orientated approach to allow clients to reach their functional goals and improve their overall quality of life. Cindy also likes to incorporate functional electrical stimulation and the use of advanced technology into therapy programs to enhance recovery.
Cindy works full time at the Movement Disorders HUB in Artarmon.

Nikita has gained valuable and varied experience in hospitals throughout Sydney and the UK within the acute hospital setting before falling in love with neurological rehabilitation. Nikita has worked specifically in cancer rehabilitation including people living with neurological cancers, specifically brain tumours and has a dedicated passion and interest in this area of practice. In addition, Nikita has spent time abroad volunteering in Siem Reap in Cambodia working with war veterans doing community visits and amputee rehab.
Nikita has a special interest working with stroke survivors and those with brain cancer. Nikita is also dynamic with her own education and professional development and enjoys participating in team education.
Furthermore, Nikita is certified in the LEXO robotic gait trainer and enjoys the opportunities this offers her clients with impaired mobility.
Nikita works full-time in the clinic at Advance Rehab Centre.

With a passion for helping others, Kumbelin began her career working in community neurological rehabilitation and brought her expertise to the ARC team in 2019. With a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and a drive for innovation, Kumbelin combines her research insights with clinical experience to deliver cutting-edge therapy solutions.
Her commitment to improving the lives of individuals with Parkinson’s disease led her to become a certified PD Warrior trainer, where she enthusiastically shares her clinical experience and knowledge with fellow healthcare professionals. Additionally, as co-chair of the PD special interest group, Kumbelin is actively involved in enhancing service delivery for PD clients. This interest extends to other movement disorders including Functional Neurological Disorder, ataxia, and dystonia.
She is skilled in vestibular rehabilitation, proficiently assessing and treating individuals with vertigo, dizziness, and balance issues, helping them find their feet.
Kumbelin’s expertise also encompasses gait analysis, where she enjoys supporting clients return to running and other activities they love. Her dedication was recognised with the Don Stammer Excellence team award in both 2022 and 2023.
You can find Kumbelin at the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder HUB 5 days a week, Monday-Friday.

Hannah graduated with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2013. She spent the next 3 years gaining valuable experience as a rotational physiotherapist within the NHS in England and Scotland acquiring a broad range of knowledge in several different specialties. It was during this time that she developed a strong interest in neurological physiotherapy working with different conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease and acquired brain injury.
Hannah made the move to Australia in 2017, working in a private practice before joining the team at ARC. She is passionate about assessing and analysing movement and has refined her assessment skills through experience in both musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy to help her clients reach their goals. Hannah has a key interest in gait and balance re-education and has enjoyed the challenge of incorporating the use of technology and robotics to help her clients get the best rehabilitation outcomes. With a passion for movement analysis and gait, Hannah has a special interest in brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation and enjoys helping clients to regain strength and movement to optimise function.
Alongside individualised therapy, Hannah also enjoys leading a number of the group classes at ARC. She is a PD Warrior instructor and course leader and thrives on instructing clients in a class environment to motivate them to excel to their full potential. In addition, she is the lead therapist for ARC’s NeuroCore program which incorporates Pilates style exercises and techniques to help strengthen and stabilise her clients.

After graduating as a Physiotherapist in Sydney, Eileen spent the first 7 years working in various paediatric disability services. Towards the end of this time, Eileen undertook a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering and based her thesis on the modelling of motor control acquisition and has applied this to her love of neurological rehabilitation.
Eileen then held a position at Sydney University on a stroke study looking at motor control, spasticity and contracture. For the past 20 years, Eileen has worked in private practice with a special interest in neurological physiotherapy for both adults and children. She enjoys a complex caseload and is a strong participator in ARC’s learning and development program regularly presenting on topics in neurology.
Eileen works solely in the community Tuesday to Friday and is an outstanding clinician. In 2020, Eileen won the Ken Sackville ‘Care’ Award as voted for by her colleagues.

Katrina is a neurological physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience working with a wide range of neurological conditions. She completed her degree in New Zealand and then travelled to the UK where she specialised in neurology working in acute stroke, brain injury including challenging behaviour and complex neuro-disability. This gave her the opportunity to undertake post graduate study in the field of posture management before moving back to New Zealand to lead a multidisciplinary community neuro team and establish one of the first early supported discharge services for stroke in New Zealand.
Katrina moved to Sydney with her family and joined the ARC team in 2014. She works in the community, continuing her passion for working with people in their homes and local environment.

Vestibular Physiotherapist

Alison is ARC's lead vestibular physiotherapist. She has over 20 years experience in general musculoskeletal, orthopedics, sports, pre and post-natal, pilates and community physiotherapy.
In recent years she has undergone post graduate training in Vestibular Physiotherapy and has worked in multiple practices specialising in this area. Alison has special interest in vestibular disorders, including symptoms of vertigo, imbalance, dizziness, migraine, headache and concussion. Over this time Alison has come to appreciate the loss of quality of life, confidence and safety that vestibular conditions can cause people of all ages and finds managing and treating these, at times complex, conditions challenging and very rewarding. Alison recognises the importance of continuing education in this constantly changing and evolving area of physiotherapy.
Outside of work Alison enjoys kayaking, cycling, swimming, canyoning, hiking and camping and keeping up with her 4 children and busy family. Motto: Listen to your body, it's the only one you'll ever have. The key to keeping your body's balance is in knowing when you have lost it!

Lexie graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours. Her interest in neurological rehabilitation began at University when she completed her honours thesis on Balance Impairments in Stroke. Following graduation, Lexie began her career in NSW Health, gaining a solid foundation of clinical skills in all core areas of physiotherapy. She then quickly progressed to senior roles in the areas of inpatient neurology and intensive care, as well as the supervision of physiotherapy students and staff.
Lexie is passionate about student education and is involved in teaching physiotherapy students at ARC as the student coordinator.
Lexie has a special interest in functional neurological disorders (FND) and is part of the FND clinical team at ARC helping people to optimise their function and achieve their goals with this challenging condition. She is also one of the clinical leads on the Stand.Walk.Run Program and a Lexo certified clinician. In addition, Lexie is the clinical lead for pain management and is passionate about evidence-based management of chronic pain for clients with neurological conditions.
Lexie works in the ARC clinic Monday to Friday.

Acting Community Physiotherapy Team Leader and Neurological Physiotherapist

Amali qualified as a Physiotherapist from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. Soon after graduating, she relocated to Australia and travelled across the country, working across a broad range of clinical settings in both public and private sectors over the last almost 15 years
Amali has a strong passion for implementing evidence-based practice to support and empower her clients to achieve their goals and best possible functional outcomes. She has a special interest in Motor Neuron Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease and is the clinical lead for motor neuron disease at ARC. Amali created educational content for the MS Online program and she is also a certified PD Warrior instructor.
Outside of work, Amali enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and spending time in nature.

Katharina joined the ARC team in August 2017 after moving to Sydney from Germany where she trained and then worked in neurological rehabilitation. Katharina has a special interest in treating clients with functional neurological disorder (FND) and is one of the FND team treating clinicians. She greatly enjoys working with this client group to help them to achieve their goals.
She also has a passion and expertise in upper limb therapy and assists in leading this service to achieve best outcomes for clients through tailored treatment programs. This often involves incorporating ARC’s upper limb robotic technology and gaming therapy equipment to provide a modern and engaging exercise and rehab experience.
Furthermore, Katharina is a certified PD Warrior Instructor and is involved in training other healthcare professionals both in Australia and Germany to deliver high quality treatment to the Parkinson’s population. She is the lead therapist for the robotic gait trainer, the Lexo, which assists in improving gait quality and walking endurance in a large range of clients with mobility problems.
Kathi is also a key part of our education team that assists in delivering both continued professional support to staff and also teaching physiotherapy students during their clinical placements, helping them make the link between theory and clinical practice. In 2020, Katharina won The Don Stammer Award for Clinical Excellence as voted for by her colleagues.

Melissa is a specialist neurological physiotherapist and founded Advance Rehab Centre in 2009 after recognising the need for a purpose-built neurological rehab centre providing expert rehabilitation for people with complex therapy needs in Sydney. She is also the founder of PD Warrior®, a program for people with Parkinson’s that is taught and licensed internationally and INSIGHT, an online conference that is part of the global education calendar for people with Parkinson’s.
Melissa sits on the Clinical Advisory Board for Polio Australia and is a current Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Branch Councillor and Co-Director of INPA. She is past chair of the APA NSW neurology chapter and past national representative. Melissa was awarded Australian Physiotherapist of the year in 2019, Small Business Champions Entrepreneur of the year in 2020 and the HESTA Impact Award in 2020.
Melissa has worked in a variety of neurological rehabilitation settings both here and overseas for 22 years and has taught on a range of topics including Intensity in Stroke, Neuroplasticity in Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s and other movement disorders, Introduction to Polio, hydrotherapy for neurological populations and contributed to the production of the APA Level 1 Neurological Rehab course.
