Walking Together for Parkinson’s
Walking Together for Parkinson’s
There’s something pretty special about a community coming together with a shared purpose, and the recent Walk for Parkinson’s at Artarmon Reserve was a wonderful example of exactly that.
Organised by The Dean Team in partnership with Parkinson’s NSW, the annual event brings together people living with Parkinson’s, families, friends, health professionals, volunteers and supporters for a morning of movement, connection and fundraising.
As a proud partner of the event, ARC was delighted to be there and support the Parkinson’s community we work with every day.
Moving together, making a difference
The walk is about more than simply getting from A to B. It’s an opportunity to get active, connect with others and raise vital funds for Parkinson’s NSW, helping support the services and resources available to people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
With different distances available, participants could choose a challenge that suited them — making the event accessible to people of different abilities and fitness levels.
And there was plenty of community spirit along the way, with families, friends and supporters walking side by side, sharing stories and enjoying the atmosphere.

A community that keeps growing
The Parkinson’s Walk has become a much-loved event on the local Parkinson’s calendar, growing each year and creating an opportunity for the community to come together.
We’d like to say a huge congratulations to Dean and The Dean Team, and to Parkinson’s NSW, for bringing everyone together and creating such a positive and inclusive event.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, donated or supported the day.
At ARC, we know that staying active and connected can be an important part of living well with Parkinson’s. Events like this are a wonderful reminder that no one has to navigate the journey alone.
Well done to everyone who walked, cheered, volunteered and helped make the day such a success. 💙
