Marlou completed his Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales in 2013. He previously worked in a neurological facility for over 3years specialising with a range of neurological conditions particularly in spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple sclerosis and stroke and led the development of the national strength and conditioning service program across all facility sites in Australia. He has a strong passion for neurological rehabilitation and is determined to push the boundaries with our clients to maximise their recovery and quality of life.
Marlou joined Advance Rehab Centre in 2017 to continue to build on his clinical knowledge and skills from a more experienced multidisciplinary team. In 2018, Marlou joined the Leadership Team responsible for managing services across the exercise physiology team. He values the importance of building strong relationships with his colleagues and working together to ensure our clients are provided with the best rehab outcomes and experiences.
Since joining ARC, Marlou has played a key role in revamping all exercise physiology group programs including Neuro Balance, Strength Clinic and Neuro Fit. Marlou has also been involved with setting up our community clients returning back to their local gyms or experiencing a gym for the first time which led to the development of the “At Your Gym” program.
Marlou is also a PDW qualified instructor and loves delivering group classes. He enjoys learning new innovative ideas and hopes to continue developing the growth of the EP team and service.
