Lexie graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours. Her interest in neurological rehabilitation began at University when she completed her honours thesis on Balance Impairments in Stroke. Following graduation, Lexie began her career in NSW Health, gaining a solid foundation of clinical skills in all core areas of physiotherapy. She then quickly progressed to senior roles in the areas of inpatient neurology and intensive care, as well as the supervision of physiotherapy students and staff.
Lexie is passionate about student education and is involved in teaching physiotherapy students at ARC as the student coordinator.
Lexie has a special interest in functional neurological disorders (FND) and is part of the FND clinical team at ARC helping people to optimise their function and achieve their goals with this challenging condition. She is also one of the clinical leads on the Stand.Walk.Run Program and a Lexo certified clinician. In addition, Lexie is the clinical lead for pain management and is passionate about evidence-based management of chronic pain forclients with neurological conditions.
Lexie works four days per week in the ARC clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
When she isn’t working, Lexie enjoys spending time with friends and family, bushwalking and skiing.
