In 2006, Melissa McConaghy started Mobile Rehab Innovations. This was an entirely mobile service and one-man band providing neurological rehabilitation in the home. At this point in her career, Melissa had travelled extensively while working as a neurological physiotherapist and educator and had returned to Australia aware of a huge gap in service delivery. Within three short but frantic years the team had grown to over ten clinicians and needed to move out of Melissa’s home office!
It took nine months to find, plan and fit out our current clinic in St Leonards. Somewhere that was purpose built for neurological rehab. In 2009, Advance Rehab Centre was launched and the two companies merged under the new name.
Over the last 12 years, we have become an employer of choice for rehab professionals wanting to advance their career. Our team culture is one of mastery and innovation and as a team of 35 clinicians, you will not find a more dedicated, passionate and pioneering rehab team to help you in your rehab journey.
We have also become a trusted provider to the 12,000 people who have used our services. In the past, many funded their rehab privately or through partnerships with third part funding agencies. Although this continues on, the future holds many exciting challenges and opportunities with the roll-out of the NDIS.
What we can guarantee is that we will continue to provide the best rehab service that we can, regardless of how that rehab is funded.
