Please help us to help keep you safe by reading through this document before attending the clinic or have a therapist come to your home.
General Clinic Update
- Our therapists are wearing face masks for all therapy sessions and we encourage the use of face masks by everyone entering the clinic
- Everyone is temperature checked on arrival at the clinic. Please wait at the designed spot in reception until you have been checked off.
- We have signage in every room regarding maximum capacity numbers, as per the one person per 4 square metre rule
- We are regularly cleaning seating in our waiting area, all door handles and taps
- We continue to use regular, professional cleaning services
- Everyone entering the clinic for more than 15 minutes is required to enter their details in our visitors book if not booked in for a session. This includes carers, family members and trades people.
Clinic Equipment
- All equipment is cleaned after each client use – or placed in a designated space to be cleaned before further use
- Therapists are avoiding use of equipment that can’t be wiped down
- All pillows have wipeable pillow cases and are covered in single use paper towel
- Plinths are wiped down between each client
- Where appropriate and safe, therapists are limiting hands on assistance
Groups
- Our therapists have modified their group classes to allow more space between everyone and limit the sharing of equipment
- All of our classes comply with the one person per 4 square metre rule
- Equipment is wiped down between client use in all our groups – all therapists and clients have access to cleaning wipes to clean their equipment after use
- We have options for clients to join our group programs online – following set up by your therapist (please discuss with your therapist)
Online rehab
- We have options to deliver your one to one therapy and group sessions online. This is working very well so we encourage you to consider this – please discuss with your therapist
- We stock or can order-in equipment to help you get set up for online sessions
Moving clinic sessions to home based sessions
- Your sessions that are ordinarily delivered in the clinic can be delivered in your home or local park/community area instead (please discuss this with your therapist)
Community
- We continue to have flexibility regarding the location of community-based therapy sessions – in your home or out in the fresh air – in wide open parks, at the beach
- Our therapists are wearing face masks for all therapy sessions and we do encourage the use of face masks by everyone else for the safety of our staff
- Therapists are no longer working in local libraries
Staff
- We are conducting our weekly team meeting remotely for community staff, rather than all congregating in one room
- Staff who have been overseas or Victoria are not returning to work until they have been in isolation at home for 14 days
- Staff are remaining at home if they have any cold or flu like symptoms
- Our evening lectures for healthcare professionals are currently being delivered online as webinars only
Your responsibilities
We ask that you please:
- Use hand sanitiser on arrival and departure from our clinic
- Wait to be temperature checked at the sign in reception.
- Sign in at reception (for contact tracing purposes) – if you are visiting the clinic in any capacity other than the named client booked into our diary
- Use your own water bottle and small towel when in the clinic
- Postpone your therapy sessions if you have any cold or flu like symptoms – especially a sore throat, fever or cough – and seek a COVID-19 test
- Do not attend the clinic if you are awaiting results from a COVID-19 test
- Postpone your therapy sessions for 14 days if you have been a close contact of anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19
- Postpone your therapy session if NSW Health have recommended that you isolate for 14 days if you have attended a named venue with a confirmed case of COVID-19. For more information regarding this, please visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates
- Only have one carer attending sessions with you, or they drop you off if they are not required within your session – this is to limit the flow of people through our reception and gym
- Please express to your therapist if you would like a piece of equipment or area cleaned
- Please discuss with your therapist, reception staff or management if you have any other suggestions
- Please call Health Direct, 24 hour health advice on 1800 022 222 or visit Health Direct’s Symptom Tracker if you want further advice regarding symptoms you have.
We will continue to update our guidelines and keep you up to date on this matter. For the latest advice, information and resources, please refer to www.health.gov.au
