Gold Star - Gerard (Zhe) Chen Gerard suffered a stroke in mid 2022 which left him with significant weakness down his right arm and leg. From the first day he began his rehab he has been diligent, persistent and pushed himself every day to get stronger and to make improvements to his mobility and function. Gerard has been exercising at home and in his local area with community Physiotherapist Eileen and Therapy assistant Will. He has also been undertaking upper limb therapy at the Artarmon Clinic with Occupational therapists Annabel, Rachel, and Penny. Gerard is now easily able to balance and get on and off the floor. He has more than doubled the number of times he can stand up in 30 seconds and is now able to stand on his affected foot for nearly 12 seconds. One of Gerard’s goals is to return to running and has recently started attending running group and is making rapid progress towards this outstanding goal. https://archealth.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Gerard-Zhe-Chen-photo-225x300.jpg Watch this space for more exciting achievements.
