Here we see ARC client, Teppei, sporting his new shoulder support – the Ottobock Omo Neurexa.
Many clients who have suffered a stroke or brain injury will have upper limb weakness and shoulder instability, meaning they need to wear a sling or support for their arm.
Unfortunately, traditional slings mean their arm is effectively strapped across their body – limiting opportunity for arm movement, affecting balance in standing and further feeding into patterns of tightness at the shoulder and elbow in particular.
In contrast, the Ottobock Omo Neurexa Plus allows the arm to be down at the side of the body and free to be incorporated into as much movement as possible!
