Piotr Janus had a massive Stroke in July 2014. After finding out about our upper limb boot camp, he flew down from Rockhampton for a 4 week intensive program for his upper limb, lower limb and gait.
In this time, Piotr made life-changing realisations, including: “Having hope and confidence in using my arm again in everyday activities!”. Piotr is now able to use his left hand to turn light switches on and off, carry objects, push a ‘shopping trolley’, squeeze toothpaste out, among many more daily activities.
He also used the Saeboflex which “gave me a useful hand to use my arm again”. “Being aware of my leg again when I walk!”
Piotr accomplished several goals in 4 weeks, including:
Being able to push a ‘shopping trolley’ and use an escalator independently for the first time since his stroke, Improving walking speed to cross at traffic lights more quickly.
Piotr achieved these goals through positivity and determination. It was great working with you Piotr, thank you and WELL DONE PIOTR!
