Congratulations to Melissa McConaghy who passed the examination process to become a Fellow of the College of Physiotherapists and a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. She is now the eighth physiotherapist in Australia to achieve this title and the third in NSW. As a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists, Melissa has attained the highest level of expertise in neurological physiotherapy via a rigorous training and examination process. Melissa also holds a Master of Health Science in neurological physiotherapy and a certificate in Public Health and is the chair of the APA Neurology Chapter in NSW.
Melissa is the Director and founder of Advance Rehab Centre which she established over six years ago. With a strong background in community neurological rehab, she has worked in a variety of public and private settings in Australia as well as overseas as an associate lecturer with the University of Sydney in India and as a Youth Ambassador for Development in Thailand with Ausaid. Melissa has a special passion for stroke rehabilitation and recently developed the Intensive Stroke Program which has been endorsed by the Stroke Recovery Association.
