Connie Lopresti was diagnosed with MND just 10 months ago. There is no cure for this disease and each day she wakes up with a new challenge. She can no longer walk or use her arms and she depends on her family, friends and carers for everything. Damage to motor neurones that control limb movement, speech, swallowing and breathing eventually lead to respiratory failure. On behalf of the MND foundation, it is Connie’s wish to raise money to help in the research of this horrible disease and with the support of the association. Connie and her family and friends are holding a fundraising dinner at Le Montage in Leichhardt on 5 November. This evening has been named Moving forward with a Touch of Blue– the blue cornflower being the national symbol of hope. There will be raffles and hopefully a small auction with all proceeds going to the MND Association NSW towards research. For more information, please contact the office. Lets get behind Connie and show our support!!
